Before you consider purchasing a SETI rug…
We purchased a Seti rug just 18 months ago from Natuzzi Manchester. We were not aware that this type of rug is made from Bamboo fibres and even though it initially looks great it advertises as bamboo silk which intimates that it is a type of silk - it should be described as silk bamboo. In a short time it won’t look good at all.
If you are considering purchasing this type of rug you need to understand that it can only be cleaned by a small number of specialist cleaners at great expense (around £900).
Due to the rough nature of the fibres they naturally attract dirt so become soiled very quickly. If you try to clean it yourself you will see that the rug turns into something resembling paper mache...
Even with professional cleaning it is impossible to take out anything like wine stains apparently (which we don’t have). Speak with a professional cleaner and listen to what they say about them.
After 18 months we shall shortly be taking our £3,000 rug to the recycling centre.
Basically you will be buying a rug made out of wood.
