Review of AmeriGas Propane

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

AMERIGAS is a NIGHTMARE you never want.

In 2022 I bought a property in Idaho, which had an Amerigas (AG) tank. I called Amerigas to change the account into my ame and they made me sign a 3 yr contract. A year later I discovered AG charges two to three times more than local companies in my area. I tried to wait out the 3 yrs, but couldn't take the AG price gouging and cancelled on 2/2025. I had switched to a local company (The Coop) in July 24, they put the remianing propane in the AG tank into my new tank and moved the tank an easily accessible location for pick up. It took AG a long time to come pick up their tank, although I said Call Me First, they did not. 35 days later, I noticed AG was trying to deduct $587 from my bank account. I tried to view the invoices AG allegedgly had listed online, but the invoices would not come up when I clicked on See Invoice. I stopped payment on the withdrawal, because AG was attempting to charge me more than the written contract stated and charge me for a charge that did not apply and I have a right to see the charges first before payment.. On Facebook you can find contacts for AG Customer Service. (won't let me post them here) Go online to Facebook, Reddit, Nextdoor, BBB and you will find other AG customer complaints to prove AG is a nightmare you never want to experience. The DOJ needs to investigate AG and put a stop to their price gouging, deceptive business practices, constant changes to their contract in a form that has continuously been upheld by courts that the form Amerigas uses (deceptively making changes to the contract signed and not explaining the changes clearly when they attempt to change their contract by inserting the new contract into their web site that you must 'acknowledge' before looking at your bill, or stating that you must object to the new contract within 30 days, is not binding. The American Bar Association has an entire article about this deceptive practice. Google American Bar Click Wrap Online Contracts.
IF YOU PURCHASE A HOME THAT HAS AN AMERIGAS TANK, INSIST THE SELLER CANCEL THEIR CONTRACT WITH AMERIGAS AND GET TANK REMOVED BEFORE CLOSING. There are better, honest propane companies out there. Amerigas is not one of them.

Review of 32 Degrees

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Moved from Hawaii to COLD Idaho and loving 32 degree products!

I have so far survived 3 winters in bone-chilling Idaho after 20 yrs in Kona with the help of 32 Degree products, The fleece leggings for $6.99 are amazingly warm and the zip puffer coat extral long below my knees keeps me toasty walking the dog in 0 degree weather. The shorter light weight puffer coat works well for general work around the farm. I bought a mens sized L shorty, which seems to work better for trapping warm air inside. I don't care that I look like I am wearing a blanket...the $29.95 long coats keep me warm and cozy (bought one in every color) when I'm feeding my Central Boiler or the chickens. The regular leggings are great because with 2 pockets and hey have only $8.
Yes, some products may have some drawbacks - the material on their clingy red and black plaid night gown is not condusive to 'feeling w/chapped hands' so I got rid of that boyfriend instead of the night gown LOL Their fleece pjs top is very weird--too big and too hot, but the clingy leggings are warm and comfy. All in all, 32 degree clothing is a great priced product - and I'm 75 yrs young, so I know of what I speak. Mahalo for reading my review! (I love Idaho and 32 Degree!)

First Premier is a horrible company

First Premier is a horrible company. Don't be scammed into giving them a dime. They stole ALL our money, didn't pay out one single claim. Threatened us. INSIST THEY PROVIDE YOU THE REAL CONTRACT BEFORE YOU PAY THEM A DIME. Still suffering PTSD from our experience with First Premier.

VERY BAD, DECEITFUL & TREACHEROUS COMPANY

First Premier Home Warranty "FPHW" is a SCAM!
FPHW uses BAIT and SWITCH policies, demands FAKE REVIEWS from their want-to-be contractors, FAILS TO PAY CLAIMS by refusing to talk to the contractor (even after contractor has been to your house) and confuses you with LIES AND DOUBLESPEAK, NEVER PAYS you, ARGUES WITH YOU that the item you are claiming isn't covered, yet in the first policy they show you it was, THREATENS YOU with a gag order and attorney fees if you complain, PROHIBITS YOU FROM JOINING A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST FPHW (read the 19 page policy they send you when and if you are stupid enough to pay them for a policy)!

The FPHW representatives are very well trained fraudsters

The FPHW representatives twist every word of their policy (and they use 3 different policies to CHEAT and BAIT AND SWITCH you). They are pathological liars intent on cheating you out of your money. I bought several policies and FPHW never honored the 6 page policy they first provided to me. They use a 6 page or 12 page policy to entice you to buy the policy and then sneak a 19 page policy into an email when you pay.
When we tried to cancel, FPHW uses "their own terms" to decide the proration of monies paid and lied about what they paid (which is NOTHING), but they said they paid the contractor $60. We have an email from contractor stating FPHW NEVER paid them a dime.
The "Pro-rated Balance Acceptance Form" provided to me when I tried to cancel, which they want me to sign, states: "By signing this form, I release First Premier Home Warranty for any and all liabiolity in conneciton with this policy and agree to have any current or pending complaints or actions withdrawn and/or considered resolved. I also agree that htis amoun tis final, and that if hte full or any portion of the por-rated amount/administrative/service cost fees be contested, the entire said amount will go to Collections and may significantly impact the credit score. I understand and agree to all the terms and conditions of this signed agreement and acknolwedge that the balance amounton this agreement will expire in 30 days from the date of this form."
(ARE THEY REALLY THREATENING ME WITH RUINING MY CREDIT SCORE?))
MARK MY WORD: YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY REGRET THE DAY YOU BOUGHT A HOME WARRANTY POLICY FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS.

BEWARE - BAIT AND SWITCH POLICIES

The FPHW rep sent a BAIT - 6 page policy to review before payment. It looked great, thus we purchased 5 policies on 5 homes. We recently discovered the actual SWITCH policy FPHW claims to be using is 19 pages full of exclusion after exclusion so that NOTHING is covered in the warranty and exculpatory language to prevent you from seeking remediation anywhere. The 19 page SWITCH policy even has language to prevent you from joining a class action suit!

UPDATE: First Premier now uses a 12 page BAIT policy to entice customers to pay, but still does not reveal or disclose this 12 page policy is not the actual policy you are purchasing. In your Welcome email sent to you after you pay will be a PDF 19 page policy. They say you only have 30 days to cancel. But even if you try to cancel, they will not send your money back. (read other folks' 1 star reviews. Those reviews are the REAL REVIEWS. )

BE AWARE -- DO NOT BE SCAMMED by First Premier Home Warranty like we were. They PRACTICE BAIT AND SWITCH. There is NOTHING transparent about 2 different policies - one you are shown before you buy the policy and one they sneak into a Welcome email after you buy the policy. The first 2 pages of each policy are identical, so most folks do not print off or look further to make sure it is the same policy initially provided. First Premier never discloses the fact that the policy sent in their welcome email is an altered version of the first policy provided to you (if you had asked for a copy of the policy initially, like most folks would do)

Oh, but you say, "they have so many 5 star reviews!" YOU MUST LOOK DEEPER AND QUESTION EVERYTHING. We called many of the 5 star reviewers (in their circle logo you can often find their real name) and discovered these 5 star reviews came from potential contractors who had said they were told by FPHW to post a 5 star review before FPHW would authorize the contractor to work for FPHW.. Other contractors told us they ultimately chose not to work with FPHW because they do ever get paid by FPHW or that FPHW fails to authorize the contractor to perform the work.

In 9 months, we have had 2 legitimate claims based upon the 6 page policy FPHW provided to us - and First Premier has denied one plumbing claim and failed to pay the claim they said was legitimate. We have never received ANY money or remedy from FPHW.

But, a FPHW rep recently threatened me with 'we'll come to your state and sue you with a gag order and you will have to pay attorney fees" when I tried to get them to refund our monies paid for the Fraudulent policies they sold us.

The Federal Trade Commission regulates FRAUD and Bait and Switch complaints. So does (maybe) your state insurance commissioner or Attorney General. The only way to stop a company like this is for the public to reveal the fraud. Take the time to make a complaint to Yelp, Trustpilot, BBB, Consumeraffairs, Google reviews, Federal Trade Commission, and your state Attorney General

Great Dog Booties for winter walks!

I purchased snow boots for my 65 lb dog so we can walk in freezing temperatures and 6" snow. They work well and stay on. I had a problem with one of the fasterners on a bootie. It broke. I notified customer service and they promptly sent me another one. The booties are easy to put on, well made, have a ample rubber non slip pad on the bottom and an elastic fastener on the top.

First Premier Home Warranty Co is a BAIT AND SWITCH FRAUDSTERS

First Premier Home Warranty sends out a copy of their policy (5 pages) if you want to see the policy before you pay but it is NOT the policy they hold you to after you pay. They send a different (19 page) policy full of many, many EXCLUSIONS contradicting the first policy they provided to you. In the fine print, they say you must cancel w/in 30 days if you do not agree with the 2nd 19 page policy. Since we had already viewed the 6 page policy they provided, we never opened the 2nd 19 page policy they sent which excluded all the items we believed were covered. We had 2 claims which, to our dismay, they said were not covered items, and that is how we discovered they had switched policy coverages on us after they got our money. First Premier Home Warranty is a BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM. They cover NOTHING. The exclusions are detailed and lengthy. STAY AWAY FROM FIRST PREMIER HOME WARRANTY
We discovered First Premier mandates contractors write a 5 start review in this site before they get a contract with them. We've called many of them and they all say the same.

Fit good, Waterproof YES, insole "F, slip resistant "D"

I like the fit, I'm 71 and it's hard to get the shoe over my heal quckly. They are absolutely waterproof. Bought these because I live in Hi where it rained for 8 months, I was tired of wet shoes. They are slippery on wet slate and wood, and the insole comes out and get's all bunched up, and the shoes smell after 6 months of wearing. No washing takes the smell away. I'm going to try to buy a "green" smell proof insole to reinsert. For their price, they should be almost perfect, not 66%
