Great xl pillowcases

It is difficult to find great quality extra large pillow cases at a reasonable price but the Linen cupboard really delivers. The ordering process was easy and the items arrived on time in perfect condition. I'd definitely shop with them again.

Quality products and great service!

Quality products and great service!
Pete listened to what I needed from my new blinds and came up with a perfect suggestion. When he returned to fit the blinds he was very organised and tidy. He also played some lovely music as he worked. The blinds look good and I'm looking forward to testing their thermashade properties.

Superb customer service!

I recently accompanied my dad when he went for a hearing aid check at Boots Hearing Care, Beverley. Michal, the Hearing Aid Audiologist, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He listened to dad’s concerns and then gave excellent advice about the best type and size of domes for dad to use. He took time to ensure that they were a perfect fit and even offered to exchange a recent order of the wrong sized domes for the correct sized ones. Michal also gave dad useful information about ear care and at a follow up appointment even offered to sync dad’s new phone to his hearing aids. At the end of the appointment, he liaised with a colleague about a problem dad was experiencing with his glasses so that they were able to be looked during the same visit. Michal could not have been more kind and helpful and I would definitely recommend Boots Hearing Care.

Caring and compassionate

Caring and compassionate
My mum recently died at home from metastatic bowel cancer. The last week of her life was harrowing but 3 visits from Marie Curie staff were a godsend. All the staff were caring and compassionate and their presence gave family members chance to catch up on some sleep. They were there when other prearranged support had abandoned us, and I will never forget their kindness.
In addition, their range of booklets are easy to read and practical and I am currently finding ‘When Someone Dies’ invaluable.

False promises
I wish I’d read Trustpilot reviews before I put my faith in McMillan. My mum was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer in 2019. In 2020 we had a visit from a McMillan nurse who promised that mum would receive support from the service so that she could die at home. In 2022, having outlived her initial prognosis I had to rerefer to access any further advice and then this year when she deteriorated, they completely washed their hands of her. I phoned them in March and was told to go to the GP and then shortly before she died last month, I was told that the GP would need to make yet another referral. This was done and McMillan simply passed it over to Community Nursing. I totally agree with other reviewers who said they deserve zero stars. They gave us false hope about the kind of death at home that mum could expect and made a difficult situation far more fraught than it should have been. The Community Nurses did their best but they were short staffed so there were often lengthy waits between their visits to administer emergency medicine. Mum spent too many of her final hours feeling sick and in pain because the McMillan cancer specialists could not be bothered. I will never donate to this charity again.

Excellent company – highly recommended

I ordered a Gothenburg sofa bed for my parents‘ spare room. The service we received was superb from start to finish. Fabric samples were quickly dispatched and a good size. When I phoned with a couple of questions the Managing Director was incredibly helpful. Then after I placed the order we were kept informed of its progress by email and phone, which showed how much the company cares about customer service. The gentlemen who delivered the sofa were friendly and professional and the actual piece of furniture is wonderful. It is solid, well made with a smooth, easy to operate mechanism. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and family.

Friendly and professional.

The gentlemen who delivered the sofa bed were friendly and professional. It arrived in perfect condition. The company did exactly as promised and all contact from them was positive and timely.
As a relative had suddenly been admitted to hospital I phoned the day before the item was due to request an early afternoon delivery slot. The gentleman I spoke to was polite, said he would pass on the request but it may not be possible. That evening we received an early morning slot but I still rate the company 5 stars because they were honest.

Helpful, professional delivery drivers

The delivery drivers were very professional and helpful. They phoned an hour before the delivery, set up the new bed and took away the old bed as requested. The only thing that could have been better is that the website and messages said the 2 hour window delivery would be confirmed the night before but it was gone 7am on the morning of the delivery before I was sent anything. Improving this would make a good service great.

Worst shopping experience ever!

I placed an order on 21 January 2023. My money was taken, but I did not receive the goods or any indication of when they would be shipped. I have emailed, completed contact forms, phoned (they don’t provide one on the site but I googled one) and written to them quoting The Consumer Contracts Regulations. Despite my best efforts I have been totally ignored. I have requested a refund but have heard nothing. My next step is to contact trading standards and to alert Google to this scam company in the hopes that they will no longer appear as a search result. Avoid at all costs!

Taiba's customer service is excellent

EON recently moved my account across to EON Next. I emailed information to set up a new on-line account and instead was sent a password reset to my dad's old account (which was closed last summer). I emailed again and explained what had happened. Having had difficulties with EON Next when looking after my dad's account I fully expected it to disappear into a void and was preparing for a lengthy wait on the phone on Monday. Instead I was very pleasantly surprised to receive emails from Taiba apologising for the mistake (which she didn't make) and then sending me the link I had requested. This worked and the information in my new account looks easy to understand. If I was just rating Taiba's customer service it would be 5 stars, she was excellent. As it is I've had to take one star away for the initial mistake but at least I'm feeling more positive about the company🙂
