Incompetent and Inaccessible

We are on our third set of delays for items ordered for a new bathroom. By the time something comes in to stock other things have run out and they don't seem capable of splitting an order. I don't know how they got their Trust Pilot score but as far as we are concerned they have been truly awful and I wish I'd given our money to Wickes.

Shockingly Bad Customer Service Operations

We ordered an Emma mattress via Argos as we thought the company would be reliable - terrible mistake.
Emma would appear to have economized on the quality of their delivery offer. Having ordered via Argos we were told we would be contacted by the delivery company by email, text and telephone to arrange a date and time. Nothing was received and eventually I phoned Argos and was told delivery was for the next day. I explained we could not take delivery as we were not yet in possession of the new flat this mattress was needed for; and that we had not been contacted by the courier about this alledged date. Argos apologized and I asked for delivery on 26/8. Argos said we would receive confirmation. Five days later - at 3.40 pm on the Friday of a Bank Holiday weekend - I eventually got a text saying delivery was delayed until 29/8 which meant 3 nights sleeping on the floor or a sofa.
I eventually got through to Argos Customer Services and was on the phone for nearly 35 minutes. The very polite staff member would have helped if she could I am sure but the upshot was a. Argos had no control over delivery; b. She contacted the couriers but could only tell me they would get back to me within 48 working hours; c. she could not escalate the issue to a manager because they were all - unsurprisingly - busy; d. she could not prioritize our call to a manager but said somebody would get back within 24 hours; e. She could not confrirm any of this by email as their email service was not working; f. She could not confirm this by text as they did not have a text facility at all.
I will never order anything from Argos again unless I can collect it myself. Their processes, should your order go wrong in any way, are utterly hopeless and not fit for purpose. Please learn from our experience and avoid this company's delivery options at all costs.

Don't Order Emma Mattresses - Delivery and Customer Service Is REALLY Terrible

I can't comment on the quality as we have just had our delivery date put back.

Beware of the "Amend" Trap

We often stay at PIs when in London or on other family visits. I won't book again because we've been trying to amend our booking for days now without success. Our rate says you can amend a booking but actually we can only increase ours - not reduce it by a night. So beware of the "Amend" trap - it is not true!!! And the PI "customer care" only allows its feedback form to be completed AFTER your visit, not before, which also seems unpleasantly controlling and evasive. It has put me off this brand completely, which is disappointing, as I foolishly had more faith.

If you have psoriasis avoid this…

If you have psoriasis avoid this product. It is incredibly drying, even the one for sensitive skin. That seems to be aimed at anyone who may react to perfumes but if you have issues with dry skin be aware that this deoderant stick created severe psoriasis patches under my arms where I had never had problems in over 20 years of having psoriasis. It took nearly 2 months to recover. Its also been a hassle cancelling the subscription. I would definitely not recommend this product or company.

Review of Endurance Doors

Great For Older Property, Outstanding Style, Service and Price

I had looked for ages for a composite door to replace my old wooden one. I wanted the low maintenance and security of composite but it needed to work with my Victorian cottage exterior (built circa 1850) which opens directly on to the pavement of a busy road. In addition the front door opens directly in to a kitchen/dining/family type room so the interior look was, in some ways, more important than the exterior. However, I really wanted a cottage look door with high quality door furniture. Mercifully I eventually found Endurance and have my cottage style door with pewter door furniture, including monkey tailed handles. Externally it is anthracite grey and internally it is cream, to match the family room decor. Fitting by my local company, Waddup Windows, was absolutely brilliant. And all this for actually the lowest price of the 3 quotes I obtained. Installation was less than a week ago (on the right day and amazingly quick, clean and efficient) and so many friends and neighbours have commented on the lovely style and quality of the new door. Check them out if you are thinking of buying, particularly for an older property.

Completely Lost Trust In This Company

I've always relied on Homebase before and prefer them to B&Q for online orders, altough Argos is the best overall. So doubly disappointing that they will not accept a return of product because we found out we needed an unearthed light fitting beyond their 30 days policy. As I say, Argos have been flexible about a similar situation in the past as they still stocked the item. Homebase's response was curt and inflexible - although they were at least quick with their totalitarian "No" approach. Really disappointing to see how far their once excellent customer service has fallen.

This Company Does Not Deserve Trust

Spent 40 minutes with the chat bot asking the same question - who put an updated card number in to my account? I had not wanted to renew so did not update my payment details as the original card had been cancelled. Somehow, someone entered the new card details in to my account and charged me for an annual renewal I had not wanted. My 3 simple questions - who did that? When will I get my money back? and How do I make a complaint? went unanswered and eventually the chat was discontinued. I will have to start again from the beginning but I'm not giving in to this voracious, avaricious, unprincipled conglomerate and I advise you to avoid them.

Don't Use This Company

Wish I had read this before persuading my partner to buy a Halls greenhouse. I bought a compact version last year and it was a nightmare to put up but I thought that was because we were inexperienced at putting up greenhouses. My partner paid for the in house "specialists" to put his greenhouse up and they took even longer than my family. They moaned the whole time about the product, which we thought was INCREDIBLY unprofessional and then refused to take any rubbish away with them, even the glass THEY had broken and left in the garden. At the very least Halls should make it clear about removal of rubbish. We had a skip a few weeks ago and would have kept it to handle all the debris left by this company. The greenhouse is ok but, as others have said, their instructions are abysmal and the customer service team indifferent.

Asda Sent Broken Goods And I Had To Pay To Return Them!!

Another appalling online shopping experience. Last month it was Next. This month George at Asda. Ordered 4 wine glasses which took over a week to arrive. One was broken. I tried 3 times to phone customer services and was just left on hold for up to 20 minutes. "Extremely busy" apparently - I'm not surprised. Having repeatedly searched their unhelpful website I discovered my only option was to return - paying the price to send back 4 glasses - and reorder, even thought the fault was entirely Asda's. It is a shocking way to keep customer's money even when goods are faulty and I won't ever use them again.

Chicken - 3 Strikes and you are DEFINITELY Out!

Is it me or does Aldi chicken taste nasty now? I haven't had Covid or anything but I am now definitely NOT buying their meat anymore. I've had 2 meals ruined because the chicken thigh fillets, purchased weeks apart, just tasted nasty. This made the meals nasty. I thought chicken breasts would be better but they also taste tainted. They are well in date, don't smell and look fine but the taste is sort of gamey and strong. I'm giving up now. Tescos price is really similar for every day and our market butcher is brilliant so Aldi - you are dumped. I'd rather eat more vegetarian meals and have good quality meat than have something that tastes nasty. You are definitely detioriorating ...

Cheaper Almost Anywhere Else

Next used to be one of my go to retailers but overall their clothes are a bit market stall now. However, I did see some basic summer trousers I liked and added a plain white top which I thought would always be useful. On arrival it is absolutely huge and now I discover that, not only have Next put up their delivery charges to £4.95 a time I also have to pay £2.50 to Evri to return it. As I say, I don't use Next much anymore because of overall cheap quality - and let's face it cheap quality comes much cheaper at Asos! - but their delivery and return charges are extortionate. Pricing yourselves out of the market? Won't be using you for clothes again. When times are hard we use companies that are a lot better value than you and when times get better we've forgotten all about you so pick up your game Next if you want to stay a bellweather retailer. Especially as my younger relatives have barely heard of you!

Aldi - You Seem Very Arrogant Now

Aldi - please up your game. If I could have given you 0 stars I would. In particular accept feedback! Your online product feedback form doesn't work and who has time to sit on your phoneline? I work fulltime! It's starting to look like a deliberate attempt to shut out your (once loyal) customers and in my case the main beneficiary is Tescos. You used to be such a good company but you absolutely DO NOT deserve any awards at the moment and I'll be telling Good Housekeeping that! If you want specifics - Specially Selected Hand Cooked Crisps have tasted stale and undercooked last 2 times I've bought them and no, I don't have time to take them back to the shop so they've gone in the bin. Your online form doesn't work because the crisp packets didn't have all the 8 pieces of ID data you requested so it blocked me out. Your Hoi Sin pork strips were disgusting and tasted as if they had been marinaded to cover up bad meat, and a small egg is a small egg even if you write medium on the box. Savvy shoppers voted with their feet last year and moved to you and Lidl; we can just as easily move back to brands that prove more reliable and therefore offer better value in the long run. Sort it out.

Have used AO for years but found…

Have used AO for years but found service very disappointing this time. Delivery time was not updated on the day, driver asked me to stand outside for 10-15 minutes to make it easy to identify the house even though I live on a main road sequentially numbered so is completely obvious. Fitter made a fuss about lending me a screwdriver, left the front door open so the dog got out onto the road and then said it was my fault, and slammed the front door on leaving - never heard it slammed with such force before. I happily paid for the full removal and installation service but the fitter was so unpleasant I probably won't use AO in the future.

I ordered 4 plants and one was out of stock when it came to packing. I was contacted promptly and offered an exchange or refund. The refund was processed swiftly and my 3 selected plants arrived in excellent condition. They were very good value for money too. Would not hesitate to use this provider again.

I will not be using this woeful company…

I will not be using this woeful company again. Having paid weeks ago for a tshirt and 3 pairs of socks and being charged a huge amount for postage, today they have delivered the socks and suddenly discovered the tshirt is out of stock so I get an apology and a product refund. £6 to post socks!!! And how was it they only noticed today the tshirt was out of stock, so it was too late for me to cancel the whole order. I would NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AGAIN. If you look, a lot of there stuff is not really discounted at all. It's just old sale stock from places like Boden who were selling things off cheaper anyway. Think very carefully before giving these people your money.

Absolutely hopeless

Absolutely hopeless. Ordered a plant as a welcome home gift. Was told delivery would be 3-5 days but that was it. No updates, explanation of delays - nothing. When I tried to contact the company I found they only work to 5pm Monday to Friday. So wish I had checked trust pilot before ordering. Do not use this company!

Not very impressed with my most recent purchase. It was in the Christmas sale and a parcel arrived promptly but they had sent completely the wrong thing - a colander instead of a casserole pot. When I emailed customer services they wanted a photograph of the colander, which was a pain as I was not at home by then. I asked for a return label to send the colander back but received nothing; I've now emailed a photo of the colander and again have received nothing. It seems putting right their own mistakes is not a priority for EB.
