I have always just used their stores, never online. Always helpful staff and well stocked stores. Stand out store for me on several occasions is the one near Dorchester, Oxon.

Poor Customer Service. Atrocious Delivery Situation

This relates to a purchase made in the Salisbury store. It was a large item and the assistant was very helpful and answered all my questions about the item. This resulted in a purchase. Because of the size of the item I had to arrange for it to be delivered. My criticism of Lakeland is the delivery service. If I had gone to John Lewis, I would know the exact day of delivery. I just have a vague number of working days. That convinced me never to buy online from them. Salisbury customer service excellent though.

Your reply made me change the rating to 1 star. Obviously no interest in improving your vague delivery arrangements . Customer service terrible and have no interest. I just want to cancel the purchase now.

Poor Instore Experience Southampton

This relates to an instore experience at Southampton and not in respect of their excellent online service.

For over a year, this store has had two Google display tables, which feature dummies of all google products. Everytime I visit I enquire about the availability of a couple of products and always get told they are not in stock.

On my last visit, an assistant told me they never have the google stuff in stock and that the google tables are in fact paid for and maintained by google.

Incredibly frustrating especially as John Lewis don't challenge google about it. If you never have the stock kick the displays out of your store!

Unbelievably expensive £32.50

Unbelievably expensive £32.50 for one adult and for a round trip of about 16 miles! That wasn't even on a steam train, but some diesel train. So for two adults £65!! Walked away and had a fantastic view of the Isle of Purbeck for £3 from the top of a bus and unlike the train it took me to the mainline railway station. I really don't think it's worth the money.

Apple Not Interested

Purchased music from them for 9 years. Buy some Homepods to play my purchased music. It all works to start with, then for the last three years, the crap devices keep telling me they cannot find the music in my apple music library. Apple not the slightest bit interested in fixing it despite do many people telling them about it.

It is absolutely atrocious that we are taxed with no choice for this corporation. I hate the BBC and never watch it, but to watch other live television that I already pay for through subscription I have to purchase a licence. Not fit for purpose in this modern age.

Stores Are Hopeless

Went to a store to get something to be told it was not in stock. Asked when it would be and the answer was "Never here. We hold very little actual stock. I can order it online for you." What a massive waste of space this company is. What on earth is the point in having a store?

Salisbury Branch Very Aggresive & Not Customer Focused

Salisbury branch opens at 0930 on a Saturday. Why? When every other bank or building society opens at 0900. You make a complaint after watching numerous people trying to access the branch. Then you get called by someone from the branch who gives you pathetic excuses in quite an aggresive manner which becomes more aggresive when you say that obviously what's convenient to the branch is more important than your customers. This aggressive attitude continues so you have to hang up. Unbelievably non customer focused at this branch. As a customer for over 20 years all I wanted to do was leave this abysmal service and find a better bank/society.

Then it takes them 6 weeks to reply to say they have done nothing wrong. Nothing at all about dealing with their aggresive staff member. Absolutely shameful behaviour. If your in any doubt about this society look at the Trustpilot results. 75% of all ratings are 1 star.

Theft mail. That is what this company should be called. Nearly every recent envelope delivered has been slit open and the contents missing or disturbed. Royal mail are just not interested in dealing with their thiefs.

Purchased Homepod. After initially playing music I had purchased from apple, it has now completely stopped. It has also stopped playing radio stations from the UK. Apple have no interest whatsoever in fixing it.

Good

I previously did not have good dealings with glasses direct. However, I have worn a pair of their varifocals for two years with no issues whatsoever. Following an update in prescription I ordered some new glasses and they were delivered within a week and are fine. If I have a criticism of this company, it's their website. It displays frames, allows you to enter the prescription, and order the lenses nicely. The 2 for 1 deal that comes up is not clear and if you go through the process, the cart shows the full price for two pairs of glasses. Something that either needs to be made clearer or fixed.

Went to find a telephone number and then proceeded to go round in circles never able to speak to anyone in person about the refund issue. Customer service absolutely atrocious.

This relates to the Southampton store and the tech department. Really helpful assistant explained different options of laptops. Good customer service. If I have a criticism it is the lack of stock in relation to stuff on display. A lot of items were not even held at the store.

Nothing wrong with Jessops or their service, but they use DPD as a delivery agent. Courier dropped a box full of delicate order on concrete slab right in front of me. I won't use Jessops again until they change delivery agent.
