Delivery system shambolic
Made our first order and everything went really well. We were given an expected delivery time slot and the order duly arrived. The food quality was excellent, so we placed a follow up order.
This time we booked an afternoon delivery slot, but the order arrived earlier than expected and I was not yet home. Consequently my wife, who has restricted mobility had to deal with the order as I was out.
When I checked the order I found that it was missing a main course item, so I contacted the Kingsthorpe branch who had packed the order.
I very pleasant person apologised profusely and said they would deliver the missing item, together with another main course by way of compensation on Friday. As I had to be out for some part of the day I asked if the delivery would be morning or afternoon, so I could schedule my work.
I was told that the delivery schedule would be worked out on Friday morning, I would then be called to give me an idea of when the delivery should arrive.
After waiting until after 14:00 I once again called the Kingsthorpe branch who, once again apologised profusely, but eventually told me that my order had not been completed, and would therefore not be delivered today.
Having been asked if it could be delivered on Monday I declined as I cannot afford to have yet another work day disrupted, so a refund was agreed and will hopefully come through.
The actual product has proved to be excellent, but it is such a shame that our confidence in the order and delivery process has been destroyed and we are now less likely to place any further orders.
