Communication is really poor

Communication is really poor. My first time of completing a cash ISA transfer and so in uncharted territory. Completed the application and received an e-mail stating the transfer will be processed and once completed they would confirm. After 18 days of hearing nothing I messaged Castle Trust on their preferred platform of secure messaging and no response so rang them which obviously these days incurs a lengthy wait. The transfer went through and I have had the need to ask another question which again still hasn’t been answered. Seems the only way to get any queries answered is call them and wait, usually in my experience 20 minutes on average. As an aside my transfer went through with the interest from the previous year and when I queried could I withdraw this, was told I would have to pay a £200 “exit fee”! Now I understand this was my fault as I believed when the whole amount went over I would be able to withdraw the interest and leave the rest invested… obviously not. £200 to transfer a minimal amount from a bank to another bank is ridiculous as that is a core function of what banks do. I can honestly say that when the 12 month period is up I will move away as dealing with a bank that won’t communicate with you and is holding a sizeable chunk of your savings is poor. I have given 2 stars instead of 1 as the positives were a decent interest rate at the time and a simple enough application process.

Quick and Painless Resolution to Damaged Product

Ordered a Weber Kettle Grill due to the price being great value compared to others. Quickly despatched but the courier (DPD) decided to drop a super heavy metal product over a 6 foot gate which obviously damaged the kettle grill. Contacted Dawsons who despatched a replacement the same day so no real inconvenience caused other than sending pictures of the damage. Great communication with this company and a speedy painless resolution.

Insurance for unexpected Events is misleading

Booked what looked to be a bargain priced ticket and was also offered insurance in case of unexpected eventualities which I took in case the event was cancelled which it unfortunately was. First issue trying to find a contact number for Trainline which took me 30 mins and endless searches on Google. Second issue of trying to get a refund as unless you croak it, get hit by a bus or struck by lightning you have no chance. I should have read the small print but when they advertise it to you it seems worth it which of course it isn’t and is mis-leading. Suffice to say I will look for alternatives to Trainline.

This service is unbeatable

Couldn’t work out which part I required as our bathroom is about 16 years old so assumed obsolete or replaced with something else. Took a picture of the flushing mechanism and sent via e-mail to Steve at Toilet Spares. Within the hour Steve sent the item code with a link and also explained that although the new part doesn’t look the same as the old it would be compatible. I ordered and the new part came which was slightly smaller and indeed looked different. Unclipped the faulty part and simply clipped the new one in. Put everything back and the toilet is now fixed with no leak.

Buy a ticket immediately on arrival or leave the car park

Please be aware that even though the car parks are pay & display, they photograph your car immediately on entry and if you dont/cant get a ticket quickly you will be fined!!...waiting for a space, faulty machines etc will not sway these people as they only give you 10 mins "grace" to get a ticket. I believe they operate everywhere in Cornwall so be aware!

Birthday card still hasn’t arrived!

Ordered my wife a birthday card 6 days before her birthday with a 1-3 day lead time so should have arrived in plenty of time. The card still hasn’t arrived so 7 days from order but who knows when it will arrive. The online chat agrees its past the agreed timescale and offers to resend! This solution is pointless as the happy day has now been and gone. Also Royal Mail have some blame here but Moonpig choose to use this company as a delivery agent so ultimately their responsibility. The first time I have used Moonpig and at this moment in time believe it will be the last as I can’t risk using an unreliable service
I sent over these details as you requested and 9 days later still not received a response from you. looks like this incredibly poor service continues!!

Shocking customer service

3 calls to change my e-mail from a previous work one. Every time i get told it is fixed only for me to try and log on with no success. I have been told "the site is under maintenance"...what for 3 weeks!....the reason this was brought to my attention was that my policy went up and was set to auto-renew which I didnt choose so completely blind....guess what i cant even log on to check my details to make sure things are correct. Next year even if they were the cheapest I wouldnt renew as the customer service is shocking
