Having had the need to rely on this…

Having had the need to rely on this type of retailer for many years, it was a relief when we discovered Recare. We have found them to be fantastic. They arrive when they say they will arrive and they do exactly what they say they will do. Knowing we could rely on Recare over the last year has been a weight lifted from our shoulders.

We love Schuh as a shop

We love Schuh as a shop, however the online order process is as bad as it gets. I recently ordered a pair of men's shoes which we were told would be with us in three to five days, nine days later they turned up. on trying them on it became obvious that one of the shoes has a fault in the sole. I reported this to Schuh who very kindly informed me that i could send them back (at my expense!) and they would replace or refund them. had i just changed my mind i could understand paying to return them, but the shoe is faulty so why should i have to pay to return them.
I will hold on to the shoes until the local store reopens and take them back to store. that will be the last time i have anything to do with schuh online.

Very saddened by this review.
My son reached out to Donalds (Mazda) Bury St Edmunds this week regarding purchasing a car, with money he has earned from working hard and saving, he also has a car to trade in that he paid for 2 years early.
Given that we are in the middle of a pandemic and the economy isn't great, you would think that a car dealer would actually be interested in helping. My son's experience highlights that this dealer must be doing really well as they are willing to judge him as a potential customer over the phone instead of working with him and providing good customer service.
Following his very poor experience I have advised him to take his business to a dealer that is actually interested in providing a degree of customer service, and not imply that he is only interested in test driving cars! Had that been the case i'm sure my son would have spoken to the local Mazda dealer rather than Donald's Bury St Edmunds which is a 2 hour drive away!
Don't use this dealer unless you are old enough to remember Eldorado on the BBC, they won't understand or appreciate your choice of shoes or your hair cut, and they are utterly convinced that you are not worth the effort before you get out of your car.
Online advertising from this dealer is also misleading as you can't hold a vehicle unless your going to buy it within a few days. How do you know if its the right car if you can't test drive it (they think that's all your interested in) under the current restrictions?
Donald's answer is just buy it, we guarantee your like it. I assume that's not a money back guarantee though?
Shockingly bad customer service, thankfully its come to light before he parted with any money.

I have some good memories of TacoBell…

I have some good memories of TacoBell from visits and Trips to the States. Sadly the UK TacoBell's are a poor copy, and the drive through business model doesn't work in the UK. What you end up with is a long wait as the car / car's in front haven't got a clue what to order, and when you get it its a poor imitation of TacoBell USA.
On our last visit my wife was handed the drinks and as they were handed to her the cardboard tray snapped, 4 large coke's went all over the car both inside and out, not to mention the wife. The instant reaction of the supervisor inside was, you will have to pay for new drinks (I don't think so!)
I have genuinely been gutted by TacoBell as it would have been a great alternative to the regular fast food outlets in our area.

Highly recommend

We have used Asda tyres on two or three occasions now, every time the cost of the tyres has been hard to beat, and the local garage where we have had the tyres fitted couldn't be more helpful either.
highly recommend especially if your car has an uncommon size or fit.

We purchased a lovely sofa from DFS a couple of years ago. all was well for the first few months until we noticed that the cushion of the left hand side of the sofa had sunk. this was reported to DFS who sent someone around to look at it and he concluded very quickly that nothing was wrong, he had gone within about 90 seconds of arriving. this was reported back to DFS who have since done nothing about it, even though it has been chased several times.
calling DFS is also pointless, you select the store you want to speak to,but you get put through to a call handing team rather than the store.
this is the second time we have purchased a sofa from DFS and it will be the last.

I love a Starbucks coffee but......

I love a Starbucks coffee but recent upgrades to the App resulted in money I had on my account disappearing. This was highlighted to Starbucks who really didn’t seem that interested. After chasing it up with them they eventually credited my account. Thankfully I kept my receipt which proved to be my only way of proving what I was saying to them.
Poor service from Starbucks on this occasion but still easily the best coffee on the high street.
Conclusion, pay cash, don’t use the App and enjoy a really good cup of coffee in the morning.

Audi Pads and disks…

I purchased replacement pads and disks for our Audi from EBC. Very easy process from start to finish. The parts were shipped and arrived promptly, and most of all fitted without any drama.
The braking efficiency of the car has definitely improved since install.
All in all I would highly recommend EBC
