You Get What You Pay For
I booked a car online thru Costco travel services 4 weeks in advance. I requested a Toyota RAV 4. When I got to my destination in Bozeman, MT, the first thing the rental agent told me was "NO RAV 4" Offered me a Hyundai, which is total garbage. Then she offered me a big Highlander for the same price. This car had massive scratches which were not documented. Rental agent told me it was my responsibility to take pics of the scratches, or I could be held liable for the damage. It was so abused that the console between the two front seats was ripped out. Ended up with a Subaru Outback - the third attempt to get a good car. Was mostly a good car, but it had glue covering about 1/8 of the windshield. I got tired of walking back and forth between the car lot and the rental desk. Will not use Budget again, as it took an extra hour at the counter to get a decent car and get on my way. Time is money.
