Fantastic Brewery For Microbrews.
I've been drinking their beer for about 4 months now. Tried 3 of their offerings, and they were all at the head of the class for the style of beer they represent. Their Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold is a German style helles beer. A very tasty combination of dry hops and sweet malts. I found that it an astounding beer for summer. They say it is "Balanced and Smooth" It is. Hard to say "no" if someone offers you another. Second beer I've inhaled is their Great Lakes Eliot Ness Amber Lager. Brewed in the tradition of the German dark lagers. If dark beer is your go-to, you'll be impressed. Third beer is their coffee porter. If you like porter, this is an excellent beer. Prices are quite reasonable for beer of this caliber, usually slightly under $40 per case. I have stopped looking for other beers since I got hooked on Great Lakes. Been drinking beer for 50 years, I know what is good and what to clean your car's bumper with.
