Super quick and efficient electrician service

Andy arrived less than an hour after I booked an electrician through the online portal. He very quickly replaced the bathroom pull-cord switch as requested, and also repaired a ceiling light which was not on the original job request. Pleasant and friendly as well. Such a relief to find a proper household maintenance service in a city full of cowboys.

EE ‘business service’ a bad joke

Echo all the previous bad reviews - I have had an unbelievably bad service since joining in June this year. First of all the paid-for roaming service failed to work on my first two trips abroad to eligible countries - it didn’t just fail to connect to 3G, but provided no service at all so I was totally stuck. The online chat support was no use because they would only speak to me with an SMS authentication which I could not receive because there was no service! Then finally on return to the UK it was confirmed to me that they had failed to activate the add-on due to human error. I filed a complaint demanding a refund on the service but it was never responded to. Then today I tried to find out which countries were covered by roaming and it was completely impossible to locate the detail of the plan on the app or the website. When I finally got through after wasting an hour I was told they were reforming the website and it should be better ‘in a few weeks’. Half of the functions on the app show error messages and ‘please try later’. In short, the so-called business service is a shambles and I am giving up on EE. Steer well clear l!

Follow up on previous reply

Since there is no way of responding to the previous reply I am starting a new review. The response to my complaint is simply a lie. The technician did not provide any estimate beyond the callout fee quoted when I booked. There is zero transparency about the actual fee, and this company operates a system of extortion plain and simple. Do not be deceived by the apparently reasonable tone of the reply.

For the record, their so-called skilled technician lied to me by suggesting that one of the lamps they connected did not work because of a faulty bulb. I have tried new bulbs and it does not light.

This should be a minus rating

This should be a minus rating. These people are CRIMINALS. I called someone out for a simple electrical fix to my fridge which just took a few minutes - because the quoted callout fee was low (£45), I asked if they could just instal some ceiling lamps and a doorbell while they were here, and total time of the visit was 1.5 hours. I then got a call from the company saying the fee for the job was £840!!!!!! They 'waived' the callout fee - big deal. This was basic stuff and yes I made the mistake of not tying them to a quotation in advance but do not expect to be scammed in this way. They were trying to justify it by saying it was an emergency service with skilled technicians, and refused to give me an hourly rate on which it was based. I never used the word emergency when requesting the callout. The 'invoice' which arrived after I had made the payment gives no breakdown for labour, VAT or anything, just a description of the work. The payment is made by bank transfer to the individual technician on a personal account and in my case the name did not even match the account. I feel a fool having been taken in by them, and hope others will not make the same mistake.

Great work from Jasper and his team

Great work from Jasper and his team. Made easy work of moving a grand piano to our 9th floor apartment, super-professional and friendly. Took the stress out of our move and I would definitely recommend them.

Cold-callers amounting to harassment with unsolicited offers of 'pension advice' to UK expats

They may or may not deserve the rating from those who have dealt directly with them, but in common with many others, my experience with them has been over several years receiving cold-calls either by telephone or via LinkedIn, offering pension advice (I am an expat living in Denmark with a UK pension and apparently a prime target). The representatives generally describe themselves as being w1 based in some country outside the UK, but I can only assume they are part of the same group. Every time I tell them not to contact me again and the contacts keep on coming. Even if it is not a scam, they behave like aggressive scammers and should be exposed for this behaviour.
