All got delivered in the end

The gravel jumbo dumpy bag of Cotswold stone chippings arrived yesterday, they looked great and the service was good putting the pallet in the place of my choosing. While the delivery was delayed by one day, they did initially phone the day before the chosen delivery day to say that it would be delayed.
I did have to phone about three times to check as no sms message came through. They were able to check the system and give me estimates (e.g. 5 hour window). 1 hour before delivery I got a sms message from the courier with a 2 hour window, and he arrived early and all was great in the end.
It was ok for me as I did not book or arrange for trades people, so I wouldn't mind ordering again. I read some of the reviews about delays or other frustrations but I am glad to say I have booked with them and that all was received well on my end. I will probably order again soon. Thank you!

Parking Payment Issues

Parking Payment Issues: No phone signal (for O2) = no payment = £60 fine

I recently visited Land’s End and was surprised to receive a £100 parking fine (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days) — despite my genuine attempt to pay.

There was no mobile reception at all — not near the parking meters, not inside the complex, and not in the surrounding area. I attempted to use the app (I believe it was JustPark), but it just kept “thinking” and wouldn’t load. I didn’t realise until later that the payment hadn’t gone through, likely due to the lack of signal.

I now understand this is a private parking system run by Initial Parking, and that others have had similar issues. I’ve paid the fine because I didn’t have proof the app failed, but I feel this situation is incredibly unfair — especially for a major tourist destination where reliable service should be standard.

There was no warning about signal issues there are parking meter and machines though, which I didn't use as I expected it to eventually to go through. If you’re visiting, make sure you check your payment has definitely gone through on your app, even if it seems like it has.

It’s disappointing that what should be a memorable day out ends with this kind of stress and expense. I hope Land’s End reconsiders their arrangement with this parking operator.

Disappointed by Formula & Availability Changes

I’m a bit disappointed that the microbiome products now contain fewer CFUs (reduced from 50bn to 30bn) while the number of capsules remains the same, yet the price hasn’t dropped significantly. Additionally, it seems that the Raw Vitamin Zinc is no longer available for direct purchase in their UK shop—what a shame! I really loved those products.

As for the probiotics, I would have preferred the Mood or Women’s formula, but given the lower CFU count, they feel quite expensive now. Unfortunately, I’ll have to look for alternatives elsewhere

It is the best out there at the moment…

It is the best out there at the moment for veggie and vegan options but I wish there were more greens. I tend to top it up. But I love the ease of use and the choices and tastes. Organic and more sustainable packaging at some point would be a really good option.

Non existent customer service - taking money for online purchases and you will not get your product

I ordered a kettle on 15th December 2023 and it never arrived.

In fact, I tried to immediately cancel and ask for a refund as I realised the description on the website and advertising photographs was incorrect.

As they stated on their website I had to write to them via email which I did in the same day. You get an automated response that your request is dealt with in the next 7 days. I tried again after week as I had t heard from them and the same automated emails.

I have had now response since, nor did I receive the product, and yet they banked the full cost of the product.

I would not recommend to anyone to order directly from their website at all. Save your money as you may likely never see it again!

So disappointing.

Worst Courier in the UK

Worst Courier in the UK - DO NOT USE
Security and safety issues, bad customer service, not taking signatures despite taking extra delivery fees for that.... Never again.

Issues with pick-up: A non-marked white van turned up with a person without ID badge or "docket" as mentioned online in the legal text asking to take the package. My partner gave them the box asking if she doesn't need a signature, the person, smelling of hash, just said "no no that's fine" it's just being picked up, he didn't scan it he didn't even have a list to show, and just scribbled his initials, date and van registration No on a piece of paper she had. She handed over the box and then felt really worried she hadn't asked for a proper receipt that the website stated or asked to see an ID and was at first really upset that this was a scam.

The shipment included a £3,000 worth laptop (at the time of sale and insured and estimated value of £1,850).

I phoned later customer service, which was very hard to hear and to understand the person's spoken English, and they just brushed it off: "Well we are using a lot of agency drivers, and its a unique safe code, so it's likely to be ok and will be scanned later."

I explained my dilemma as I stupidly sent the buyer this label as confirmation (but didn't sketch out my address). And the possibility of someone just posing as a UPS employee picking up a £3K worth of equipment is just possibility!

Either way I was relieved when the website said in the evening that based on my tracking number the shipment had been received.

Delivery Issues.
The next day I was again relieved to see from the website that the parcel was delivered. I paid over £40 for an adult signature to be received. It said on their "proof of delivery" online, that an ID (with the surname) has been taken.

However, the buyer contacted me that evening and said, the box was just left outside the front door! The driver never took a signature from anyone, nor did anyone ring the bell! His partner was working from home and he thought upon receipt of a delivery email from eBay/UPS that she would have taken it on. Coincidentally they found it outside when they looked.

These security and safety issues are unacceptable. Anyone could have walked past and taken this box. Esp. since it had to be described on the label that it includes a 'laptop' and the insured value is often listed also - either way - the £3K worth laptop could have been gone easily a second time!

When I called customer service again this morning to make a complaint - and requested a refund for the service that supposedly takes a signature (that you pay extra for) but don't, they just confirmed this morning "I am sorry Miss, all refunds have been temporarily suspended and we cannot give any refunds".
If this would have gone to court and it came out the driver had not in fact taken a signature they would have had to pay the full value insured of this laptop at the least - this is my understanding. This would be worse for the company.

Either way, I will never use this courier again and would recommend anyone else to think twice about which courier to use if you are sending high value items.
