Slow to arrive and damaged

Not a UK company, despite the .UK domain. Took over 2 weeks to arrive from China and one of the canvasses was badly creased. Raised this with customer services, but haven't heard back. I would avoid this company as there are many more better quality options available.

Update to review:
Still not heard back from Customer Services and also wanted to add that many of the paints are dried out. Really disappointing all round.

Dear EJH-Coeliac,

Thank you for your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for your disappointing experience. We regret that your order took longer than expected and that the canvas arrived creased.

Due to a high volume of inquiries, some responses have been delayed, but we are actively addressing all customer emails. Please send a reminder to support@houseart.uk with your order number, and we will prioritize resolving your issue, including replacing any damaged canvases or dried-out paints.

We appreciate your patience and the opportunity to make this right.

Warm regards,
The HouseArt Team

Not safe for Coeliacs

Used to enjoy and feel confident eating at Cote restaurants, but having been gluten poisoned they are DEFINITELY NOT a safe place for Coeliacs.

Tellingly, I have tried adding warning comments to a couple of their Instagram posts, which Cote immediately delete. Super frustrating, as I think other Coeliacs should be able to make a fully informed decision when deciding where to eat, and the potential risks involved.

Also, I hadn’t realised this, but the Coeliac UK accreditation doesn’t offer a guarantee that you won’t be glutened. There is a lack of transparency as Coeliac UK is, in part, funded by restaurants like Cote. This is a major conflict of interest, especially when Coeliac UK allows the restaurant itself to conduct their own internal “investigation” which unsurprisingly reveals no evidence of wrongdoing.

Coeliac Tip: I highly recommend taking activated charcoal when eating out - it certainly doesn’t stop you being glutened, but for me, it helps.

Thank you for your comments. As explained in our communication, we have investigated this in full, and we have kept Coeliac UK updated with our full investigation. We take matters of health and safety, and food safety extremely seriously, and have a longstanding accreditation with Coeliac UK. The result of this joint investigation found no issues. We are confident in our values that, should we believe we are at fault, we would have said so. We have been liaising with Coeliac UK after reading your numerous reviews left across all of our platforms, to see if there was anything else required, and they have stated they are satisfied with the findings and no further investigation is required.
