Review of Nationwide

Pick another bank!

Pick another bank!

It's 2025 & never has online banking been as hard as the time I have had with Nationwide Building Society.

My address change did not go through, so they sent a letter to the old address - then kept sending letters there (?) finalising with a warning apparently - I would not know as I did not live there anymore. Finally they suspended my accounts - so I had to call them to get access to my money once more.

The lady I spoke to was extremely inappropriate, like it was my fault that this has happened - despite Nationwide having ALL my details, phone, email & chat function in app - they ignored these and kept sending letters instead.

Then today, a couple of months later, I get locked out of the app, with very few options to get access back to my account whilst travelling. I managed to unlock my app (by myself, not their help) and have now moved all my funds elsewhere - bye Nationwide!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROVIDER

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROVIDER

Ended my rolling contract when leaving the UK for travels, using their step by step process within my online account.

They have removed me as a user - I can no longer login, when I try they ask me to create an account - BUT they have still kept my contract rolling and are sending emails, threatening with debt collection.

I have contacted them 5 times in their chat, they refuse to help - saying I have to pay - but if I do they keep the contract rolling, as I can't login and would have to use their automated phone service where you can only pay..

Every time I reach out they send automated responses like: Please log in and pay your outstanding amount using your App.

When I explain my issue, they take me through a security check - that they fail me on as I don't have a contract or an account.

I have chatted, chatted, chatted, chatted, chatted - sent a letter - emailed Currys PC world.

There is NOTHING left for me to do as they refuse to help me. It is WILD.

Please DO NOT use this provider - save yourself. I seriously thought it can't be that bad - I was wrong.

Review of ASOS

Bad experience all around

I have recently placed a few orders with ASOS, due to covid19 (normally I do not trust shopping online so stay clear of it).

I'm sad to say I have had such an extremely poor experience with all of it!

Quality has been super poor on all ASOS branded items, especially truffle collection.

Second order - purchased 3 pairs of shoes, received a discount that spread over all three, payed with KLARNA. Returned 2 of the 3 shoes, and they have charged me full price for the shoes I kept, taking off the discount that was distributed across all three shoes??? That is the sneakiest thing I have ever experienced with a store! That's not what I paid initially, so how can they up that and take off my discount?? Ridiculous, unprofessional and bad.

Third order - placed through boyfriends account, who has next day delivery, came two days later, purchased well before cut off point - don't market and sell something with a promise if you can't keep it without explanation. This is to point out that this was after they announced it was back, as it was gone for a while due to covid. When i Emailed them about it asking why with all the order numbers and print screens they wouldn't even answer my question, cause the email wasn't sent from the account holders email. And said if I wanted a response I would have to change the email on the account, which obviously is not possible.

Never experienced such complicated and faulty shopping online, and these three orders have just proven to me its not worth the time, energy ad hassle.

Bad first order

Somehow whilst placing my first order, on the really laggy website the wrong flavouring of the collagen powder was selected. Wanted the unflavoured one and the orange flavour one was sent which was right underneath.

Not sure if it was the websites fault or mine - when contacting customer service explaining the issue and that I need to exchange to the one that I intended to order, the lady said I can send the orange one back - but I can NOT receive the powder I wanted to order. However I can order again and pay for shipping once more.

From a businesses point of view I understand that if you haven't picked the wrong product you feel its silly to send me the one I wanted to order - but as a customers point of view after placing a first order, thinking the right powder has been selected on the already laggy website - to then hear I can send it back, wait another two weeks for the refund to be processed and then place a new order and pay for shipping - does not feel great.

Wont be ordering again.
