All went well

All went well. Great communication and arrangements adhered to. Not only did GM resolve the issue but they sorted out some bits and pieces needing attention. There was an issue that was unrelated directly to the original issue but [Ian I think] the engineer drove miles to get here to sort it - well done. Layla on the phone is brill too.

nearly very good

Well, I was generally impressed with the delivery service but oddly enough we ordered 2 beds [2 separate orders] - one for here and one for a nearby house. Both were due to be delivered yesterday however we were e-mailed at 7am to say the van had broken down and one bed was not coming, huh, so I waited for the 2nd bed to be rescheduled but hey, the driver phoned to say the 2nd bed was coming [err, broken down or not?]. Now, I know there are many factors that can mess up delivery plans but if things go wrong try to be frank with the customer and don't play the 'van broke down' card. Having said that I must add that the girl that phoned us was great

Hi Stanley.. I know exactly what you mean by " the van broken down card". and I don't expect you to believe us as its often wrongly used. but we genuinely have a problem with some of our custom made vans and you were a genuine victim of this. If it helps we can send you photos of the broken down van to prove the point but Im sure you are much more interested in getting the items you ordered and the team will be busy making sure this happens as soon as possible

fine, but could have been ace

Travelodge bed turned up as arranged, should have been left with 8 headboard bolts but only 1 left. Very little conversation had with the fitters but they did leave the plastic mattress cover as requested. I did not really want casters fitted as the bed is too high but they never asked me, huh. They took all the other packing away. We are really living in a world where customer service is so important and this applies to delivery contractors too. Bed and mattress seems brill though. I would have given say three stars because of the delivery issues BUT when I ordered the bed I was charged 799 pounds but they then introduced a 30 per cent discount which they agreed to apply retrospectively, brill - so we ordered a second set. All phone updates brill however one bed set was cancelled by the deliverers on the day of the delivery but the girl on the phone was great and rescheduled for next week.
