This should NOT be legal
Avoid booking through airfrance at all costs, if you do, you may have been lucky, but it won't be like this forever.
Months went by that I tried to make a booking on airfrance.co (since I was in Colombia), got an email 2 hours later (after booking) that the charge would be refunded, but that didn't happen for months, called airfrance about 50-100 times, the local number, the French number, hoping someone would finally help, but no one. Most of the time they simply just hung up the phone in the middle of the call. When I asked for a supervisor or manager, I was told that it was impossible (I'm not joking!), there was no survey at the end of the call to give the customer at least one chance to give feedback, that hello, this is terrible, that I simply can't get help, when I called customer service and asked for step-by-step advice on how to report it to airfrance, that they have simply made my life crazy, and customer service is simply useless, I have been given steps where it turns out I can't even file a complaint, I am simply desperate, and they force me (this is something I had to figure out myself) to initiate a chargeback through the bank/card provider which takes months more. I would have liked to report this problem to them but it is impossible. They do not even have an email address where one can send in a complaint. I decided to share my experience on this platform and hopefully it will help you from getting into this nightmare. And the amount that was deducted months ago is not a small amount, I can't just let it go, I may even have to go without as I had to work for months to get this amount. It is a madness and a nightmare. Wish I purchased my tickets through an another airline.
