I don't understand why it's so difficult for JAC to produce something that just works...
This review is purely based on the products.
I'll start off by saying I first started using JAC in 2013, I had a few good years before their products (e-cigarettes and coils) seemed to loose some quality and not work quite how they should. Eventually in 2018 I gave up, their support team got less and less helpful with my issues (mostly relating to coils) and I decided to switch to a no-frills e-cigarette that just worked (shock).
Unfortunately the e-cigarette I switched to has been discontinued, upon reviewing the options as a replacement, I decided to give JAC another go. I ordered the S22 starter kit (which ironically was the last device I ordered in 2018).
I put the kit together, filled the tank and left it to charge. I return to it and within minutes all the years of frustration come rushing back.
I don't understand why it's so difficult for JAC to produce something that just work without any faffing.
The device flashed red three times, I had to go online to look up what this meant - an issue with the battery not detecting a tank... right okay. I run through the online help and still have no luck...
I've tried everything on the online help at least 3 times, tried 4 different coils and still I don't have a working device!
I will be contacting support and I'm sure they'll be great, but the issue still stands as why do products seem to have so many problems from this company? I'm going on holiday next week and have no faith that this device will see me through...
Update: I reached out to support and they organised a return, they did let me return the usually none returnable coils which I’m grateful for. They followed up to let me know there was an issue with the tank but I confirmed I just wanted a refund.
I’ve switched to a similarly priced e-cig but it offers more features and just works straight out of the box, no issues or complicated do this if this happens (which seem to be a general thing with Jac products) there’s no overly complex things to setup or multiple failure points which again is a common occurrence with my experience of Jac products.
Ultimately the support team where very helpful, although I feel I had to jump through some hoops such as testing different things to make sure I couldn’t get it working when I’d already decided I wanted to return it regardless of if it worked or not.
I won’t be changing my review score as it’s purely based on the products.
