Not the best
I ordered 4 plants - 1 was in good condition and the other 3 didn’t look great. Thankfully 2 of those it was mostly cosmetic but the 3rd looked to be fading fast, I inspected the roots and saw the start of root rot, being an Alocasia I knew I had to act fast to prevent the rot spreading to the ‘bulb’ - in doing so I repotted the plant (the soil was much too dense for an Alocasia anyway). The plant struggled on for 3 weeks before coming to an end. Unbeknownst to me by repotting the plant I voided the 30 day guarantee despite me not doing so would’ve been 100% plant death and the soil being unsuitable which is what led to the problem. I am not new to plant care and have many different plants including other alocasias which are all thriving, I was just dealt a losing hand.
I haven’t reached out to support as I don’t feel like arguing over £7 but wanted to raise awareness of this clause and that the plants received may in general, not be of the best quality. I will reorder this Alocasia from a different store and avoid plnts.com in future - which is a shame as they have a great collection available at good prices that come really well packaged. The other 3 plants are doing well, although 2 of them still look like they’ve been through a lot.
