Review of COX

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

So many outages..

There's been 10 outages in my area since September 13th. I've tried to contact customer service about it but to no avail. We've essentially been without wifi for most of the month with no indication the problem is getting fixed permanently. I think it's kind of crazy that COX hasn't offered at least a discount or some kind of assistance with this. Since I pay extra for COX care. I never had any trouble where I lived before, and honestly, not much trouble since this month. It's frustrating because COX is really affordable, but it's clearly been having some issues.

Not sure how any of their companies are still in business.

I placed an order on 7/14/25 and am still waiting for it. USPS indicates it's stuck at a facility in LA while Boohoo insists it was delivered. I contacted their customer service and they didn't believe I never received my package. I sent the tracking email as proof and I guess they're going to refund me? I'm not holding my breath as I'm still waiting for a refund from Nasty Gal. I should have learned my lesson the first time, but Boohoo's reviews were slightly better than Nasty Gal's. Just crazy to advertise 3-5 day shipping to the states when that's nowhere near reality. That package is lost forever and now I have to beg for two returns. Never, never again.

Good morning Joanna, I am sorry to hear you are still awaiting your refund.
I'd like to look into this further for you, but I will need a few more details from you first. Please could you reply to the message you will have received off Trustpilot requesting more information. I will require your order number and email address. - Joshua

Customer Service, who?

If I would have known Nasty Gal's customer service was this bad, I don't think I would have ordered from them. They "don't have a phone," weirdest thing I've ever heard coming from a multi-million dollar corporation, and the only way to reach out to them is via text, huh?? Every time I try and return one of my items, the site crashes. Well, the 3rd party site you're redirected to crashes. Abysmal customer service. Only giving 2 stars because my other item worked out and I need to wear it to a wedding.

Oh and I just want to add, their app is constantly crashing as we speak. I can't get through on there either.

Scuffed and Used

My case came scuffed and looked used right out of the package. I've emailed customer service three times and still haven't heard a response. For a $40 case, their customer service is terrible.

Never sell items on this website..

I sent in a clean out kit with over 10 gently used items. All were in great condition and most from reputable brands. I paid upwards of $50-$100 for some of these pieces. Do you know how much my box was worth once my items were posted? $12. Yes, brands like Free People, Abercrombie and Levi's sold for $12 IN TOTAL. When asked why my items were priced so low, they told me I had to go in and manually change the price myself. Seemed simple enough. Wrong, the only way to make a profit (aka barely break even) off of your items, it to hike up the asking price over 200%. Sorry but, nobody is going to buy a used Free People sweater for $300 when it's only worth about $80-$100. This website is a scam through and through. You are better off selling on Poshmark or Vinted.

We apologize if our payout amounts have been lower than expected, Lauren. It's always our hope to be as transparent as possible surrounding how much sellers can make with thredUP when they explore the possibility of cleaning out with us.

Discriminatory and Disrespectful..

I signed up for Care.com about a month ago. While waiting for my background check to process, I was contacted by Care.com today, 4/05/2020. They informed me that my account was placed on suspension and then ultimately terminated due to "concerns" regarding my background check. I had no knowledge of my account being suspended but, they insisted that they had reached out to me 2 weeks prior. Well, come to find out, this so-called "reach out" consisted of an email that was so heavily marked with spam it found it's way to the bottom of my junk folder. In it, they explained that again, my account was on hold and suspended due to "concerns." Because I never saw this email I wasn't able to contact them and inquire about these so-called "concerns." However, I can guess what they were (a point on my driving record) In my defense, I initially signed up to walk dogs and occasionally babysit. I had no intention of ever transporting humans or animals in my car. I also opted out of that option on the website itself. So, I'm extremely confused as to why my driving record even matters at this point. Anyway, they made it seem like I was some kind of criminal that was unfit for their so-called "community." They even went so far as to say that I was a threat to not only care seekers but caretakers' safety as well. The utter discrimination that I felt in that email was insulting, not to mention embarrassing. I emailed them back and reiterated my frustrations as well as my confusion for the entire ordeal to no avail. They didn't "care." Pun completely intended. Don't waste your time or your money on this company. It's definitely not worth the headache.
