Will not answer the phone when you need a part, yet try to sell you warranty

Took ages to register it. One first phone call I was asked for information I did not have so I had to go to Currys to get a receipt printed out. On my second call I was not asked any of these questions only when was it delivered! All the lady wanted to do was sell me warranty! I then needed to get a replacement plug as it had snapped. Easier said than done. Yesterday I rang and got told to ring back another day. So I emailed and their reply was I had to ring!!! I ring again today and still told to ring back another day! Honestly!! Why!! Poor service!! When the lady was trying to sell me the warranty she said that even though the parts are free I would still have to pay £150 for labour/call out!!! So obviously nothing is really free they get it back by charging a fortune on labour.

Wonderful Member of Staff Help

Today we went to Sainsburys manly to purchase a couple of bath sponges (which they did not have!) so we ended up doing a big shop. At the checkout a Manager had jumped on to help relieve queues. Once it was our turn the bill was much higher than I had expected (usually we shop in cheaper stores). I had not put enough money onto a particular card and got a little flustered. The Manager helped me by connecting my phone to their wi-fi so I could see how what the balance was and at least use what I have before putting the remainder on another card. He did say that he could put the shopping on store recall until I had transferred more money across as I did not want to keep the customer behind waiting. I wish I had taken him up on the offer but did not want to keep the customer waiting longer. However it was lovely to be served by someone that cared! Thank you!

Customer Service Great. Replacement Collar Not as good

Well my review is two tier. Customer Service I cannot fault. They were so helpful. My collar was under warranty. It took quite a while to get problem resolved as such but that was through no fault of customer service. However it does lead to a BUT! The replacement collar is not the same as my old one and it no longer has the vibrate (which was a brilliant function to have) with this new collar it looses charge much quicker. I use it twice daily for 2.5 hours total and I would say it lasts about 10 days. I have lost confidence in using it as the button on the side should just make a beep beep sound but sometimes when I have pressed it he has screamed. I know that their is a multitude of set up for this as I read the instructions to try and get to the bottom of why I now seem to shock my dog when I do not want to. The reason I have not emailed back is because I feel so guilty as CS were so good I feel I am being selfish but all I really would like is the identical collar again as I knew if the beep was ignored I then had the vibrate. Rarely did I need to shock. But now I do not have much choice if he ignores the beep. I always sung Sportsdogs praises but if they have completely done with the vibrate I do not think I could fully endorse it anymore. With a sad heart.

Dog toy not really fit for purpose

My Child purchased a dog toy for his dog at a cost of almost £20. Unfortunately within five minutes of our dog playing with it his teeth snagged the material and it laddered all the way up exposing the stuffing. This meant no more toy. I tried to contact the shop but the numbers given do not work. I emailed their customer service who told me I needed to ring the store yet refused to give me a telephone number. Yet Evertons website direct you to their customer service, even if its a product bought instore so why I am getting the cold shoulder I do not know. I emailed pictures which clearly showed a fault and not due to aggressive/hard play on behalf of the dog. Poor Poor customer service. Shame on you for taking a childs pocket money and not even having the decency to respond in an adult fashion!

They look for any excuse not to pay…

They look for any excuse not to pay 'The Nationwide Thank You!!!!!!!' This is their terms that they give (not including the very small print, nor commonsense)...

How did members qualify for the payment?

You must have been a Nationwide member on 30 September 2024. And still be a member when we come to make the payment.

In the 12 months to the end of September 2024, members must also have:

had at least one qualifying transaction on your Nationwide current account or savings account, or
had at least £100 in total in one or more of your Nationwide current accounts and savings accounts, or
owed at least £100 in total on one or more Nationwide residential mortgages.

THIS IS NOT NECESSARILY TRUE!!!! This is how they get out of giving it to children!!!

A Future Saver account is in the name of a parent who holds the money for the benefit of a child and therefore only the parent will be a member.

Even though the children have held their account for 13 years and more!!! They do not value all their customers, some more than others!

I have emailed and received their response. I had to laugh at their last sentence which was basically telling me politely to go away and not come back......

'I apologise that this is not the outcome you were hoping for and therefore, I will be closing the complaint. You will get details of this to your email and have the right to go to the ombudsman should you wish.'

So my response will have to be with my feet by moving to another building society or bank for us all as a family.

Clearly although Nationwide would have used our children's savings in order to complete the purchase of Virgin Money (as they state here: On 1 October 2024, we completed the purchase of Virgin Money, becoming an even stronger force in UK banking. This was made possible by the financial strength Nationwide members helped us build.) They refuse to acknowledge that really the children are members (as its their money in their accounts, its not mine) just because they deem the accounts to belong to us as parents (and that is only because we have to be signed to the accounts!)

What a disgrace!!!!

Saying that veg is 15p when its not!!

Saying that veg is 15p when its not!!! I ordered food on Saturday to be delivered Tuesday. The veg I ordered was 15p with no end date given so I ordered it and it came at full price. Deceiving! I rang customer service to be told sorry had payment been taken yesterday it would have been honored. Yet my argument was it did not give an end date!!! If it had I would not have ordered it.......

I have been with Lloyds for 32 years....ars

I have been with Lloyds for 32 years. Not had many problems to be fair. However trying to set up an account for my child has been like pulling teeth. I have rung customer service twice and they don't have a clue. I have been trying to set up this account since November. Now January and I have still not succeeded! The application goes through but then nothing..... it's like tumble weed...... how many times will I need to fill in the same form for it to be successful? I even had to change my account from a free to a chargeable one just so I could get this account for my child..... to which I still don't yet have!!!!!!

Awful awful

Awful awful! Trying to purchase a pair of trainers. I have been given a discount code and yet it will not accept it, saying it is invalid. I ring customer service, to which, does not even give an option for just speaking to someone. After three attempts to get to press the right buttons and speak to a human I just get told that perhaps the code has not been generated yet on the system and to wait half an hour! Really is IT that slow..... and to be honest I doubt that they really knew why it was not working! I was told that if in half an hour it still did not work then ring back! Hence I cannot give an order number as I have not been able to purchase it yet!

Purchased a suit for a funeral

I purchased a suit for my husband. We had a 15% discount code that I could use. I asked the Manager at the Colchester branch if it could be used at the checkout or if I needed to ordered it online. I was told we could use it at the checkout. Some bits had to be ordered in anyway so I could easily have just ordered it all online. We ended up not being able to assess the voucher code as it would not reach my email for some reason. So we purchased it and was told by Hayley the manager that I could contact customer services and we should easily get it resolved! Not a hope! Been told I that what I was told was incorrect!! The only way I could get the 15% off is if I travel all the way back to Colchester, pay again for parking (and have the time to do so before the funeral) return the suit for a refund, then go home, order it online (like half the suit was already) and hope it goes all smoothly! What Poor Poor customer service MOSS BROS. I shall not purchase from you again. A bunch of Muppets!!!!!!!

I apparently signed up for a subscription

I have never had a problem with shirt in a box. Everything I have ever purchased has been perfect hence 5 star. Unfortunately on completing my last purchase I must have accidentally done something that created a subscription. I was unaware of this until £105 suddenly came out of my bank. Worried someone had gotten hold of my bank details I immediately emailed them as no telephone number could be found. This was happening as we were about to leave to go on holiday. Now I hope that I can keep 5 stars from the reply I have received they are refunding the mistake and have cancelled this unwanted subscription. This error has meant we have had less money to spend on out holiday and had worry we did not need. But I am hoping it will.come good in the end.

Noisy very very noisy surroundings

They do not tell you that the hotel you booked was right next to the loudest nightclub you could ever come across. The room had no air conditioning and we could not sleep with the window shut, nor with it open. The noise started at 10pm ish and was still going at 7.06am at the time of writing this. I have video footage. We stayed at McDreams which was more a nightmare. Room was clean and beds good but no sleep.

Nathan and Matt from the Ipswich Store

Well my experience was nothing but positive. Very helpful staff, patience of a saint! I struggle to make decisions. Matt helped me chose between two sets of tiles (I did drag him around the showroom!) and the pro and con of both, then helped to chose the other bits I needed and which colour, then the amount required. Then I had not ordered enough but Nathan made sure they came from the same batch to ensure continuity. I felt valued and respected. I dealt with Nathan face to face and over the phone and everything ordered went smoothly and I was kept up-to-date. Thank you to you both.

Two years ago Brundles was shocking in…

Two years ago Brundles was shocking in its customer service and in general. We stopped using them because of this. We had to go back to them and I am glad we did. What a huge turn-a-round! I have spoken so far to three members of staff who were so helpful. Quick, efficient and friendly. They bent over backwards. So I take my hat off to them. It is the 'first point of call people' that can really make a business and they are sometimes the most forgotten about. Thank You Sharon, Elliot and Shannen.

Customer Service a Joke!

Purchased 5 pairs of leggings. Have always bought them from River Island. This time round the inside of the leggings have a plastic material/feel, as well as the stitching, and is scratchy to the skin. Unfortunately they no longer send a receipt with the order. Instead the email it. Never received the email (maybe mistyped it?) I have been emailing customer service since January and going around in circles. The closest I have come in any help was from a person called Douglas. He found the transaction (using the card details I gave him). He said to return them instore (which is 20 mile round trip). I asked to send them back online, the same way as I ordered them. Given go ahead to do, however I still have no receipt in order to complete the return. I have around 15 emails that show this conversation is going around in circles... all because I cannot finish the conversation with Douglas! Others reply just by saying return it online.. but I cannot as I do not have the details, or they say, I am terribly sorry you are having this problem I would be happy to check this further for you... but we have already done that bit!!!! I have asked numerous times for someone to call me - put no! So still cannot send these legging back. Such poor and stressful service. Honestly how difficult really should it be!

Logged on to Unidays as done in the past but unable to get it to put the discount onto the goods that had not been reduced. At checkout no option! Options for everything else though!

AVOID

AVOID! Poor, very poor. I purchased a football shirt. Once it arrived it was not as described in the photos. Completely different. I have had nothing but hassle with communication with them. I, like another customer, was informed that I send it back in a way that customs would not know that it was being returned to a business! I have all the emails to prove this! It was sent back to Norway... even though the website uses UK in its address. Sixteen emails later and I am still trying to be reimbursed the postage! Avoid Avoid Avoid.
