The i5 8500…

Have been in possession of the i5 8500 a week now updated files and software to suit personal use. It was a two week wait due bedrock being busy but well worth the wait as it was upgraded from the one ordered at no extra cost. So if it performs well after 12 months it will have been a good purchase well pleased.

I was contacted by Eon next reviewing my account (which is well in credit) yesterday suggesting that my direct debit could be reduced which was well below my current usage which I thought unwise.
I contacted them today suggesting an amount in pounds they could refund to my bank account of my surplus and keep the present direct debit the same.
They replied soon after agreeing to this thank you.
I do not like others telling me how to manage my accounts it is my money so thank you.

Skyguard shed roof kit 8x6

14:00 on time 22nd February 2021 Skyguard Shed roofing kit arrived with a view to fitting 23rd Feb.Shed prepared for fitment of skyguard as per instruction also watch video.
This job now complete 3.5 hours later.
Downside black adhesive mastic piston top at rear of tube distorted pumping the mastic gun pushing the adhesive out of the rear of the tube. Managed to scrape out the adhesive and spread on the endcaps to affix.
Otherwise excellent product on installation will see if it stands the test of time later :)
TIP Make sure you have thoroughly prepared the shed before starting and you have a mastic gun.

1 x clear dome and handles for mpk 400…

1 x clear dome and handles for mpk 400 rooflight (256454). Arrived in one hour time slot and fitted. you need a pair of ladders, torx socket and a file to smooth plastic 4 round pegs on rooflight opening after snapping off with pliers see instructions tighten lightly careful not to break. Fits Elddis xplore 302 direct improved replacement. Fitted Less than an hour taking care too.

Changed from Eon To ESB started process…

Changed from Eon To ESB started process 7th January 2020 it was completed today 29th January as promised in the online timescale of 3 weeks. Downside 'Smart meter SMETS1' now inoperative however earlier in the process ESB had advised this would be the case and assured me that new software was being introduced in the coming months and would be operative again.However the process is not complete until by law I am advised that any money that EOn have surplus in my account should be returned within 10 days to my bank account my calculations indicate that there is. I see no reason why they should deduct a Direct Debit on 3rd February because of my surplus in their account however watch this space re final outcomes of the change we note ESB is not complete until this process is complete. Others take note you may need to pay 2 direct debits new supplier and old at same time.

Got final statement today.
They suspend direct debit create final bill then send £.P surplus to your bank account
Your credit balance is £7### CR Important information Please don't cancel your Direct Debit, we'll refund any credit straight to your bank account within 10 working days. If you have, don't worry we'll send you a cheque if we have a forwarding address. If you haven't had your refund in this time, please call us on 034
So started on 6th January now 8th February and could take up to 20th February before it is all finished so not 3 weeks is it?

Note SMETS1 meter still measures Kilowatts for Gas, Electric and Sum of Both i.e total kilowatts used so knowing your daily fixed charges for both and units used for both on your tariff you can work out usage in £.p

Refund of surplus money occurred by reverse direct debit today so change complete timetable below will have to improve for 1st May 2020 new rules.
7th January 2020 process started
29th January 2020 Change Over day
8th February 2020 Receipt of Final Bill
13th February 2020 Return of surplus funds.
Will update outcome of SMETS1 meters update as and when it occurs.

Previously installed EON SMETS1 meters never updated to read expenditure by ESB during time I was in contract with them.
They phoned a few days ago to see if I was renewing my contract I mentioned meters 'Oh you need to contact......'. I said that is not my job I just pay for the energy.
No problem with company other than having to give them a meter reading once a month so moving back to EON after 1 year contract to let them reconnect the telemetry so they read the meters and I keep a check on the price.
Got a better value dual fuel tariff too
