I recently made the mistake of buying glasses from Specsavers following an eye test. I absolutely could not believe how much they charged. They used to be the best value but for the price of two pairs from Specsavers, I could get 6 pairs from Glasses Direct.

That's comparing like-for-like: premium frames, varifocals, thin lenses etc.

Pretty much all glasses are made by Luxottica these days so you are getting the same stuff when you buy online as you do when buying from a Highstreet chain.

I particularly recommend their London Retro range, as the quality is excellent. E.g. their Aviator clones ("Jenson") are astounding and far higher quality than the Chinese-made Rayban RX frames! The Jenson's feel super premium and are half the price! Same with their Clubmaster clones etc.

The only criticism stopping them from earning 5 stars, are some small attention to detail issues.

E.g. with practically every pair I buy with metal frames, the frame will come loose after a month and the lens drops out. As a result, whenever I receive my new glasses I immediately apply Loctite to the threads myself.

This is an unnecessary schoolboy error by Glasses Direct, as having a lens fall out and potentially getting scratched and the screw being lost, will really upset a customer and damage their reputation over something so trivial.

All for the sake of a 0.01p blob of Loctite when their lab put the lenses in and tighten it up.

On the plus side that is easy for them to fix.

Often deliver to the wrong address or are outright lying as they claim "no one was home" even though I'm literally staring out of the window and have a Ring camera which was mysteriously not triggered.

Try to log complaints on their website and after wasting time filling out a form, it then throws up a server error message and asks you to do it again.

It's as if they are deliberately trolling people. I won't purchase products from firms who use Royal Mail.

Not only don't they deliver, they appear to deliberately troll you over it.

Had an item missing from my McDonald's order.

Contacted support, and they stated that per their policy, they would not refund the missing item.

Any firm whose terms and conditions state that they can fail to supply something you contracted them to provide, and that's "your problem mate", is probably a firm you should think seriously hard about ordering goods or services from.

Can't imagine any other type of good or service where a consumer would sign up to that agreement and forgoing their statutory rights.

I was looking for a Joop fragrance and a search found this company selling it at half the price of Amazon. I hadn't heard of them before and was a little reluctant, but saw they had good Trustpilot reviews so took the gamble.

Goods turned up within a few days exactly as described!

Highly recommended and certified legit by me!

I'm a Chanel man so bought a few dupes to see if I could get a cruelty-free alternative.

The first was "inspired by Bleu" which came up when I Googled dupes of Bleu de Chanel (that's how I found the site). I still have a bottle of the real thing so did a squirt on each arm to compare. Now in fairness my real Bleu is the EDP, and I don't know what version Jubilee's is inspired by - it might be based on the EDT instead for all I know. Personally I much prefer my authentic Chanel EDP, but that's not necessarily a criticism if Jubilee had accurately replicated the EDT instead. Jubilee's is lighter/fresher, where as my real EDP is heavier/darker.

The second was inspired by Allure Homme and whilst I consumed my bottle of the real thing some years ago, it is how I remember the real thing (i.e. very nice) and my girlfriend loves it.

The third was Egoiste Platinum that I got free as part of the buy two get the third free offer. I've never smelt the real thing, but I absolutely love this fragrance. My girlfriend REALLY loves it. I told her that I thought it was more of an office fragrance, and she said "no it's definitely a bedroom fragrance"! Well....top marks for that one then!

So regardless of accuracy, I'd buy the inspired by Allure Homme and Egoiste Platinum again. Very nice fragrances and can't go wrong at that price.

Longevity doesn't seem noticeably different to original fragrances to me. At a third of the cost, I'd just reapply as there is no need to be stingy with it. I decanted them into mini atomiser bottles that I feel spray better than Jubilee's (and other dupe sellers) bottles, so I always have some on me.

I've purchased Quest 2, PSVR2 and now Quest 3 lenses from them.

All have been immaculate. Fitted perfectly, and the prescription spot on.

Very quick too. Ordered my Quest 3 lenses at the start of the weekend, and despite having to be imported into the UK, arrived at my door early on the Thursday morning. So just 3 days really.

If only my spectacle optician were that quick!

Bought my first camera from them a few years ago. Arrived exceedingly fast and saved hundreds over the best UK price.

Having earned my trust, I just bought another camera with a lens and an adapter for my old lenses.

Ordered on a Saturday evening, and was delivered to my house in the UK on the Wednesday. Unreal!

As with my previous purchase, the cost saving is enough for me to put 150k exposures on it, and cover the cost of a new shutter!

Ordered a D750 from them.

Received my tracking email within 24 hours and it came from Hong Kong in around 5 days.

Absolutely legit product. Identical in every way to the UK model I purchased from Amazon not that long ago.

Apart from the price that is! Much cheaper!
