Rip Off. Why is the offer by Tado more expensive…

Why is the offer by Tado more expensive than buying it direct from almost anywhere else eg Screwfix . This does not seem to repay loyalty when trading in a Nest 2nd Gen thermostat as your sales pitch suggests . Its bad enough having to replace our perfectly funcional Nest due to removal of the app support but then to be ripped off by this misleading deal adds insult to injury .

Product range is good for the radiators…

Product range is good for the radiators I required . I had some questions and on line staff were helpful .One star dropped because of the three help staff involved none had technical knowledge of the products. All were polite and did what they could . Thanks

Some good some not so good.

Good communications and my account site is easy to use. However I cannot accuses the tariff I want as my smart meter for gas is not working and Octopus have not resolved a fix to make that work . My electric smart meter function is fine but its the gas one that limits muy tariff options with you.

Great technician and repair carried out.

Fairly easy to report windscreen chip damage and organise a repair visit although this was 5 days after the damage was done. The technician who attended was really great - very professional, personable and good communicator.

This company have been great to deal with.

This company have been great to deal with . I initially ordered the incorrect drive belt for a lawn tractor due to limited information on the vehicle . AMP showed great patience on helping me identify the correct part and are refunding the initial wrongly ordered one . Communication via email was good and I will use this company now for all the future parts that I will need.

We ordered three additional spotlights…

We ordered three additional spotlights as back up for the same type of lights we have in our two art galleries. The original lights have been in place to two and a half years . None have stopped working and they are easy to adjust along the tracks and directionally .
CEF had the additional lights with us in really quick time.

An Octopus With Supportive Tentacles.

I switched to Octopus Energy 30 months ago having moved to a place with some considerable energy stuff to sort out. Octopus have been brilliant compared to all other providers that we have previously used . Why ? - because they have a responsive on line customer services team that solve problems quickly. They are proactive and communicate really well too which in my experience of one or two other big energy firms is rare.

Merrell Hell

I have had two pairs of Merrell walking/ hiking boots. The first pair costing just less than £100 started to come apart after a year with the sole coming adrift from the uppers and also developing a hole in the fabric area . I figured that because they were so comfortable that I must have just had a duff pair and bought a pair of hiking boots and hey ho after around a year they too are falling to bits . Both pairs were comfortable but did not do enough miles to warrant the problems . Sorry but never ever will I buy Merrells again and I suggest that you don't too .

Octopus energy have proved to be a…Great customer service.

Octopus energy have proved to be a really great provider with a customer service that is quick and responsive . Lotte for example has just sorted a replacement meter for us because our old one is a difficult to read dial one. we registered our plea to get the meter replaced a few months ago and without prompting Lotte has sorted it without us having to pester. The customer service by Octopus is one reason we stay with them rather than continually switch. Thanks

I bought an expensive Hyundai Pipe…

I bought an expensive Hyundai Pipe Lawnmower from Genpower about a year ago and it has a three year warranty. The mower is good apart from the drive has detached from the wheel axle and no longer drives the mower. I have contacted Genpower by email at least four times over the past few weeks. I had a reply to my first mail offering a replacement part but they said that I would have to fit it myself as they do not have a service centre nearby . I replied saying that I could take the offered part to a local lawnmower repairer and get it fitted as I have no skills in that area . Since then I have not received a satisfactory reply other than they would sort it and get back to me immediately . That was some weeks ago and I am left as a pensioner with a lawnmower that has no drive . I am on here as my last hope in getting this problem sorted although looking at the number of customer service complaints for Genpower I am not optimistic . Should they now sort the warranty repair I will re grade .....

Review of Tayna Batteries

Tayna great - Courier not so good.

I needed a new motorhome battery really quickly and at a reasonable price . Tayna Batteries were quick, efficient and the battery supplied seems just fine so far. I would use them again based on service, quality and price.

The company that Tayna used to deliver the battery was not so good. Tayna had packed the battery well and marked it clearly to be handled the right way up. The battery was delivered upside down showing a lack of care from the delivery company and lack of respect for their client and me.

Underwhelmed

The gazebo took a lot longer to deliver than advertised - I guess this could be because of the Covid crisis. When I assembled it there were no pre-drilled holes for securing it and all the four 'uprights' were 10cms. shorter than pictured which made it very difficult to drill and screw the roof on (as illustrated in the instructions). Confusingly, there was also a surplus large piece that must have been for a different design/structure.

Not stainless steel.

We bought a stainless steel catering type sink from Adexa - our first purchase from this company. It will likely be our last order from this company due to their lack of response to our complaint about the product. We have a stainless steel sink that is not stainless and is starting to rust after very little use. We are hoping that Adexa see this review and that prompts them to answer our emails regarding the product. However having seen the other reviews from customers treated abysmally we are pretty sure we will have to put this down to experience and just spread the word to our friends and customers not to use this company .

I have bought and sold several houses…

I have bought and sold several houses over the years and this was the worst experience in terms of the estate agent and the conveyancer recommended by them. What should have been a relatively straightforward sale following an early offer on the house became a protracted eight month roller coaster ride. Advice about which buyer to go with was changed after The Leicester office advice to switch buyers to " the most reliable and enthusiastic person we've seen wanting a house in a long time "- she dropped out after a few days and so we then returned to our first potential buyer who actually ended up purchasing the house but who our agent said was " not very keen" . I was selling my deceased fathers house as sole executor and yet they always contacted my brother first who then had to remind them to telephone me. Communication with WHB Leicester was sporadic at best and I felt that I always had to press for them to keep the ball rolling rather than them being pro-active and keeping the conveyancer on track and working effectively with them to achieve a sale in reasonable time. I was so disenchanted with both WHB and QSequence the recommended property lawyers that I decided to work directly with the buyer. This was the best move I made and we were able to keep each other abreast of events and work jointly towards the sale. Like some other reviewers here I feel that WHB did not have a good handle on events relying on blather and obscuration much of the time. However I do have a kind word for Neel who seems a perfectly nice young man and always spoke enthusiastically on the phone and who also showed round the eventual buyer who also said he was very helpful on that occasion. I have paid them a lot of money for a threadbare service, admittedly stretched even further by the sloth like conveyancer that they recommended .

I have bought and sold several houses…

I have bought and sold several houses over many years but this was the first time I have used an on line conveyancing service recommended by the estate agent William H Brown of Leicester . The organisation and relative simplicity of using the site was good. However direct contact and effective communication with the actual conveyancer was a problem and was stressful at a tricky time trying to sell a house. One hopes that the conveyancer is fast moving and pro-active and communicates effectively with the agent, the buyers solicitor and the client. This was not the case here. Not once was I able to get through on the telephone even when the sale nearly fell through at the eleventh hour and when directed to the conveyancers answer phone a message says that this service is not monitored. When once I got through to the wider team to make a complaint about the service I was abruptly and extremely rudely dealt with by an assistant. Finally the house was sold mainly because I was able to work directly with the buyer and build a relationship that overcame hurdles that were not communicated to me in a timely manner by the conveyancer or estate agent. The post exchange of contracts phase has been good and final bills for agent and conveyancer services promptly received. The conveyancer seemed a perfectly nice person when we have managed to speak but I cannot fully recommend the organisation if you require a quick, pro-active and highly efficient service.

We recently moved into a new place and…Worcester 42 Cdi Greenstar very disappointing

We recently moved into a new place and the old ( very old ) Worcester floor standing boiler did not work and poured water through our ceiling. We had to have an immediate replacement that would service a large house with 16 radiators and opted for the Worcester Greenstar 42 Cdi boiler . Our prime concern for a large family was to have a boiler capable of running at least two showers at the same time . The boiler works well with the heating but does not deliver two showers at once . If two showers are on the temperature varies considerably from hot to cold and cannot be relied upon to freeze or scold you. This is more that disappointing for a boiler that cost v£2800 fitted and recommended to perform the tasks that we required . The water pressure is high and the gas pipe meets the standard for this boiler .

Chat line with Leah excellent - but poor practice at renewal from One Call

The chat line person Leah was extremely helpful and professional . I chatted to cancel renewal of my car insurance policy due to a more than 25 % price hike. I secured slightly better insurance elsewhere for almost half the re quoted price of One Call .

Five stars for Leah but less overall because I feel that loyal customers should be treated more fairly at renewal times and so the rating would have been 2 without Leahs excellent chat help.

One shower at a time with the Worcester Boiler

We've just had fitted a Worcester 42 Cdi Classic boiler fitted after understanding that flow rates would allow for two showers to run at the same time . Whilst its a great boiler re heating weve been disappointed that two showers cannot run consistently at the same time and when both are switched on the temperature of water varies considerably . With one shower on the water temperature is great but as soon as a tap or another shower is run the fist shower goes cooler to cold . Not sure why as everything else including water pressure to the house is fine .
