I’m actually really sad, been buying dresses from here since I was 18 and I’m now 29.
Bought a dress from store and went to return it as I didn’t go to the event I had it planned for as my Dad actually went into hospital.
Tags on, ribbon on the girls in the shop asked me if I tried the dress on at home with deodorant on.
Never ever been asked that question before but after a very strange “erm, probably I do wear deodorant” response. I got a nasty look and “we do say to be careful cause there’s a mark on the dress”. Honestly I’d hold my hands up if it was ruined, but there were little marks, the fabric of it was a magnet to anything too.
Refused a refund, and sent it off under faulty as the stitching was actually coming away from it.
No refund, just a brand new dress sent back to me that I don’t need.
Just a note, if you try the dresses on, make sure you’re not wearing deodorant 🤯 and note they’re extremely precious about giving money back.

Ray and John were fantastic with my partner and I. After 2 visits we thought we knew what we wanted, to be met with more confusion on our 3rd, Ray recommended a sofa based on our wants and needs within our price range, we hadn't even considered it but loved it! Sadly we didn't choose this one finally but it was fantastic to have someone that could see something we didn't.
There was a hiccup with the finance company needing to verify me but the guys were absolutely incredible with keeping me informed, comfortable and relaxed.
I knew we were in great hands. We can't wait to get our sofa now!

No option for no star? 3 month battle with them, after they admitted their fault in breaching contract, two sets of paperwork completely different info supplied to us, arsey emails to my boyfriend demanding a balance that wasn’t due or holiday will be cancelled... obviously 4 weeks later still wasn’t cancelled so empty threats were great. Blamed TUI for the charges and loss of deposit, took NO responsibility even though they admitted it was a “staff error” on booking... so we were losing £600.
Honestly emails weren’t even structured professionally. If I could attach photographs here I would. My name was spelt incorrectly on one for starters, just carelessness of a company.
“We are ABTA protected” in a recent post on Instagram yet they have no clue what this means. I personally needed to copy and paste abtas code of conduct to the CEO highlighting where they had breached a contract, and also breached GDPR.
After 3 months of battling not getting anywhere at all with the branch (who by the way deal with all their own complaints, customer relations apparently don’t deal with it) two days after sending the email to CEO we’re issued a full refund.
I can’t even explain how stressed, upset, disrespectful and just disgusting this experience has been. How they’re going to cope taking over so many stores when they can’t amend a booking correctly in the ones already established is beyond me.
Don’t even bother phoning customer service, I ended up practically training the girl on the other end of the phone how to deal with a complaint. Talking over a client is fault number one, telling the customer they should “just pay the balance” is fault number two when that was the basis for the complaint.
I work in sales, if I spoke to ANY of my clients the way we’ve been spoken to I’d be under disciplinary for lack of respect.
At least, do your research before saying we’re not entitled to anything back, yes you’re working under ABTAs code of conduct... READ IT.
PS we saved £900 on the exact same holiday with Virgin and it took us 20 minutes to have everything sorted. All details correct, all in the one place, dates are finalised, and we have no stress now. Thank you to Gaynor in Liverpool Virgin for picking up the pieces for us.
