Tell your HR teams to stay away from this provider

I hate HATE Sunlife as a business, because they intentionally design their software to make the claims submission process so difficult and awful from a user experience perspective.

The website maintenance is down nightly so I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO SUBMIT A CLAIM through the portal, in 3 months!!!

It's now my second employer that is using them, which means I've been a customer for 4 years now. In the last 30 days, I've tried to submit a claim 4 times - and all 4 times THE PORTAL HAS BEEN DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE.

Horrible insurance company. Outdated, old school, works against employees.

Nailed it. Impressed with the end to end experience. Love th try on feature on the website. It works really well. Great value for money. Satisfied with that prescription and lenses. Thank you for making glasses affordable for all.

"Submit benefits claim" works 1 out of 3 times .. expect th

I've been with Sun Life Financial through my employer for 18 months now.

Guaranteed that 1 out of 3 times, I'm unable to submit any expenses because this one area of the platform is down or under maintenance... What a poor and shady health insurance provider. It's 2023 - and completely unacceptable to operate like this.

On top of that, the customer experience is so hard to find where to submit benefits claims. Everything else is easy to find (ie. a health provider, previous submission, the benefits plan). Sun Life Financial's intentional UX approach to making benefits claims so difficult is beyond disappointing, sketchy and untrustworthy. I would never choose to support or do business with a brand like this.

To the team: if there's one area to fix from a customer experience, keep the uptime on the "submitting expenses" functionality. Do the right thing.

I would highly recommend looking at GU Health - the experience end to end is incredible for the customer.

Indigo product/UX team, please take a look at your shopping card experience.

I wanted to buy Indigo e-giftcards for my team. Basically, I was stuck on this page and I could not order. See error messages:

So I gave up and instead purchased giftcards on giftcards.ca. Then, while I'm checking my email, I see two order numbers that I was charged for:

Order OR93284576 and OR93284725

This is awful because the shopping card experience never confirmed my order AND these giftcards were no longer necessary.

I then called in waited 30 mins to speak to someone. The agent was good and helpful, but the internal process is awful.

I was given this escalation number: 211223-002444. No email confirmation. And if i receive nothin in 5-7 days, I need to follow up.

This is 100% Indigo's shopping card issue. I don't have time for this. Will definitely be shopping far less at Indigo.

As a review junkie, it appears that most of these positive reviews are "Invited" sources, as opposed to "Verified" sources.

We were about to purchase our entire, living, dining and bedroom set from Rove for our new home until we read the verified reviews one by one. Also, see Yelp and BBB complaints.

Worth a read and scan.

Could not help me with the information I needed for a mortgage approval

Zero deliverables, no customer support.

I was on the phone with support for an hour, as I needed a Bank Statement tied to my chequing account for a mortgage broker to remove subjects to buy a home.

HSBC does not provide any Statements, online or paper, tied to chequing accounts which is odd. If you download it online from the transaction history, there is no name or account information onto the printout so it's not a credible document for a mortgage broker to provide an approval.

The agent sent me a link, supposedly to the statement, but it didn't work. She then told me to download an app called Voltage and register. I have a Google pixel app and voltage is only available on iPhone app store. She told me she'd call me back in an hour to resolve the situation and provide the correct documentation from her team. She never called

I still need the Statement. So I called customer support this morning, waited 25 mins on the line and then hung up. No one can help unfortunately, in a time where it's critical for me to get the information.

I will be switching banks in the next couple weeks. What a let down. I'm also a Premier customer.

Let me know if you have a recommendation for other banks.

Gift cards NOT received by recipients, though I was notified that they were delivered

The (2) gift cards that I sent were NOT delivered to my recipients, and yet I received a delivery confirmation as the sender for both. Blatantly lied.

I wouldn't have known that these gift cards DID NOT go through. My team had to follow up with me on why they weren't sent. Not okay. Do not use this service.

There is also no customer support phone or email to address these concerns immediately.

Only a form with no email confirmation that the form was filled. No record or copy of the request. Thankfully I screenshoted it.

Poor web experience > Confusion, Distrust

Poor website experience -- Very confusing if you don't notice the Ready To Wear options hidden below the "Recommended dresses" AND "Recently viewed" selections.

The dress itself was decent quality, as expected. But I had to follow up on the shipment (no notifications for two weeks), as well as the scramble the day before a wedding, as my "ready to wear" choice selection did not come stitched or with a matching petticoat. The options are available ... they're just at the BOTTOM of the page, not where the option selections are before you add to cart. Incredibly confusing and poorly designed.

Unreliable, and difficult to trust. I will not be ordering from this company again.
