Could not help me with the information I needed for a mortgage approval
Zero deliverables, no customer support.
I was on the phone with support for an hour, as I needed a Bank Statement tied to my chequing account for a mortgage broker to remove subjects to buy a home.
HSBC does not provide any Statements, online or paper, tied to chequing accounts which is odd. If you download it online from the transaction history, there is no name or account information onto the printout so it's not a credible document for a mortgage broker to provide an approval.
The agent sent me a link, supposedly to the statement, but it didn't work. She then told me to download an app called Voltage and register. I have a Google pixel app and voltage is only available on iPhone app store. She told me she'd call me back in an hour to resolve the situation and provide the correct documentation from her team. She never called
I still need the Statement. So I called customer support this morning, waited 25 mins on the line and then hung up. No one can help unfortunately, in a time where it's critical for me to get the information.
I will be switching banks in the next couple weeks. What a let down. I'm also a Premier customer.
Let me know if you have a recommendation for other banks.
