Bad coordinator and organization

I went last week to Mauritius and overall the trip was bad organized and quite disappointing. First of all due to the bad attitude of the coordinator who not only wasn’t good in the organization but also was not able to create a group spirit. She simply didn’t care about anything and didn’t showcase any ability to deal with problems that arise during the trip. Beside that, we slept in very dirty residences with ants and cockroaches and no breakfast included despite the quite high price of the package. Lastly the itinerary was not effective as it included a minimum of 3/4 hours of driving each day! We slept on the north of the island but then every day we were traveling in south?!
I feel the itinerary didn’t left any time or opportunity to enjoy the moment or experience the place as every time we were under pressure that we were late for the other planned activities. For solo travelers with a deep need of discovery and adventure, I do not think this is the right option. If you are looking for the ‘serendipity’ in your trips, do something else.
