Review of Sterling Insurance
My daughter passed her driving test yesterday, we notified sterling within a few hours. They told me that immediately they cancel the insurance and the direct debit and that I owed £120 on the credit agreement. this was a shock as when I used collingwood for my eldest daughter the policy was cancelled but no further monies were due. The sales rep at sterling told me that if i went with the same company/them they would waive some of the fees. The quote they gave us was over £2000 and so I said I needed to go online to check - lo and behold I dropped the price by £1,000 by using compare the market. To my surprise I got an email today from sterling (not even 24 hours later) with URGENT in the header and a RED banner also saying URGENT in the email taking up approx 40% of the email, the tone of the email was threatening saying they hoped it could be 'amicably resolved' but mention further action if not... When i called Sterling at spoke to Collete to complain at the unecessary tone she said it was standard, then back tracked to say they dont send out emails with URGENT in them, I said but you do I have one! She could not find the email on the system - which is very unprofessional and I had to forward my email to them. I said as they consider it URGENT so did I and requested the complaints dept got back to me today she said that was not going to happen- ie they expect me to deal with them urgently but dont treat the client in the same way.
My advice use for learner insurance
collingwood.
Use compare the market for insurance post passing it could save you £1,000s
See response below , I have received no such request and I have raised a complaint via Collette this morning - this stock answer from sterling gives the impression they are looking into it but are not - check their Google reviews too
UPDATE OVER 48 hours since I lodged my complaint to Collete , ive heard nothing

Review of BV Solutions
BVS were acting on behalf of the insurer AXA , no report was received by AXA after the visit by BVS and after considerable delay I had to continually chase. Eventually I got a phone call very late evening from a rude and patronising person who had apparently done the survey. He rejected my claim ' saying I should look after my roof better,' When i asked him why he hadnt made his report much earlier when he did the visit he became much ruder, to this date I have not received a formal /written explanation of the rejection and BVS unprofessional approach has delayed the urgent roof works - I could not recommend them

O2 insure are by far the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Losing a phone is a stressful thing but this insurance company take 2 days each time to come back to you on anything and so my case has taken a week longer to deal with, they have made my stress levels go through the roof when they should be helping their clients. yesterday i received an email telling me (after a huge compliant from me) that my case had been approved - hurray i thought until I just received a call from'Miller' telling me there are no phones in stock for the forseeable future - no time - no timescales - no service -nothing in stock - 02 should not be using them they are a discredit and i will as soon as possible be taking my whole business away from them AVOID AVOID AVOID

I ordered two bikes that went through on their system and in fact are still showing but i have to assume they are not arriving? they disappeared from my credit card but i have had no word from Evans that this is the case. This is despite multiple emails to Head office and even talking with my local branch in brighton who said they would help me although it was an online order (they never came back to me). Cycling is really important to me so this has left me feeling i will never use Evans for anything - Luckily i remembered Wiggle - seamless purchase with a new bike arriving a week early. The guy at Evans Brighton told me they couldnt get hold of any new bikes?? quite possibly the worst customer experience Ive had in a very long time - BUT well done Wiggle - the complete opposite experience

Ordered sun loungers back in May told they were in stock- delivery within a week 2 days before they were due to arrive told in fact not in stock and no stock until 25th June-
told on 25th june be with you within 3 days - then told 3rd july - now just been told the order is cancelled with a derisory £15 voucher which has 3 month deadline
other companies have ALL delivered when they intended to despite Covid - I wont ever bother with Wayfair - truly AWFUL service and customer service

Review of Centauro Rent a Car
Whats happened Centauro - ????? when a company goes from good to bad
I have used Centauro out of Valencia airport for 5 years , spent thousands of pounds with them always liked them and felt they were the good guys until this weekend 17th November 2019
Firstly they had changed the pick up point without making it clear it had changed
Secondly when i got to the office I had to wait for others to go before me as apparently they had given their details to the driver before me so even though i was there first
Ok so the above are minor irritations that you can get over but the real problem started when we returned the car. In the past they were always relatively easy going ( i have never damaged any of their cars anyway but this time the guy was forensic even going under the spoiler trim which i have never seen anywhere in the world. Our biggest problem was that there were 3 black marks on one side when we picked it up but i convinced my wife she was reading the diagram the wrong way round (I was wrong) but in any case Centauro has a bigger than the circle policy and none of the marks where. However i was told by their rep that the marks were related and therefore the circle rule didnt apply - come on Centauro this stinks
i have just seen on my credit card that they have taken £150 out , i presume for the 3 marks , I say presume because i have had no feedback on these 3 small marks
my feeling is that the culture has changed at centauro and i will never use them again. I have extra insurance but thats not the point , something feels not right about this company - shame but theres plenty of others to choose from
