These HAVE to be scammers!
So we've lived at our address for 13 years. And I got a letter today to a "James Jeffrey" (never heard of anyone called that) to recover a debt for British Gas of £152 and pennies regarding our electricity account. Supply date 13 Dec 2024 - 14 Jan 2025.
We've also never been with British Gas since about 2006...
Looks like scammers are getting smarter, but not by much. they'll never get any personal information out of us. Vile company.

Reluctantly I tried for a £100 John Lewis gift card after seeing some reviews here say it's legit.
Wanted me to complete a short survey, that took 2 minutes if that. Then wanted me to choose from a list of "deals" some of which were free but you had to install games and reach a certain level for it to count. And I'd heard stories about these not working so I chose Tombola as my wife uses that. So it wanted me to install the Tombola bingo app, create an account with them and deposit £10. So I installed it and created an account through the app, and I received a text message (from a number my phone suspected to be spam) right after (before depositing or even entering my card details) to say that:
"RwdGiant: MYNAME, deal complete! You earned a credit towards the one-hundred John Lewis Offer! Get back here: https URL Reply STOP to cancel"
And then URL took me to the site again which says I need to finish the deal by depositing £10. So I went back and I did just that, got my £20 bonus, even had a round of bingo. But I didn't receive any text message after that and the site still wanted me to go and deposit that tenner like it ignored the fact I'd already done it.
I'm still getting the old "Finish last steps for
tombola Bingo to get the credit!" message....
I know it takes up to 5 days for a completed deal to verify and apply or whatever but this still says I haven't completed it. So while waiting I looked again on the site and it turns out this is just one of 5 deals it wants me to complete. So I had a little look on another deal, which was a longer survey and then once that was done gave me yet another list of "deals" to complete in order to "continue". Unnecessarily [and likely deliberately] confusing. No thanks.
How does anyone with a full time job have time for this spam labyrinth?
I'll let the wife use the credit on the bingo app (I've zero interest in that junk) and delete the account/app.
Really not worth the hassle.
The spam in my email has already started less than 1 hour later with emails stating "We recently received your e-mail address through a campaign of one of our partners. We are delighted to welcome you as a member!" 🤦🏻
I'm glad I used a temporary email address. I just hope they don't spam my phone number next....

No problems at all, as always, and I've used Very since before it was even called Very..
I make an order, am told when it'll arrive and they arrive by the date stated..
Although I would like the option to have everything arrive in one package instead of splitting it up into however many. Yes that would take it a bit longer but saves everyone time and money I think..
Only thing I can think of that I'm unhappy about is the 12 month BNPL eligibility amount rising all the time. But that won't affect the 5 star experience..
Obviously I'll use Very again..
***EDIT***
Actually I did have a problem once, when a couple of things went missing in the post but that was like 11 or so years ago, and I got refunded anyway.. So if your items go missing, they'll investigate..
Sometimes if they're out of stock, your order will be cancelled although that's happened to me only once I think. Not a big deal at all. You'd rather it get cancelled than string you along..
If you have a problem, contact Very and they will help you, instead of desperately running to TrustPilot and Twitter and crying that something didn't go your way. Honestly...
So after checking out the 1 star reviews here, they seem to be by impatient people who are new to not getting what they want first time..
Half of which aren't even related to Very..
S'a shame.. but that's the internet..

Not much to write except I'm pretty sure I've never had a problem with them..
The delivery guy has always been cheery enough, not that I require a cheery driver but it's always a bonus I guess..
They let you know when your parcel(s) will be delivered and as soon as they've been delivered.. What more could I want?
