Returning an item

If you order online and need to return the item, I would recommend you not to purchase from River Island. Item returned 13/09, they quote 10 days to refund. I have phoned twice and I am still awaiting a refund. They have acknowledged receipt of the item, yet I am being advised up to 72 hours to be reviewed and then 10 days refund. I have ashes this to be escalated as unacceptable and I am awaiting a callback. I’m not holding my breath. No customer service at all

Shocking customer services

Shocking customer services, the team have no empowerment. TUI have made a change to our seating, which we have paid for and selected seats together. Now advised we can’t sit together. Asked to cancel with a refund and advised this is not an option. The team will not register a complaint whilst you are on the phone. Told to go on my booking and raise the issue, done that, received a mail saying someone will be in touch, but we are still waiting. The complaints number is the same as customer services, yet customer services merely log that you have complained and do not provide a solution. All we have asked for is what we have booked. We holiday with TUI every year but will not use them again. Shame there is no option to leave a zero

I am sorry to learn that you have recently been affected by a change to your originally booked seating, In some circumstances, we may have to change your seat. This would only be for operational, safety or security reasons. If we do have to change your seat, we’ll try to keep it as close to what you booked as possible.

I would also like to apologise that you felt the complaint raised has not been handled as you would have hoped for, I please ask that the lead passenger contacts us further should they wish to discuss this further.

Please be assured that we take on board all feedback that has been received to improve customer experience where possible in the future.

Hermes did not provide a service at…all

Hermes did not provide a service at all. They phone me asking for my postal address, but then do not act upon this information. Only realising there is an issue when I track the order. Why do Hermes not 1) work proactively and 2) act upon discussions they have with customer? What was the point in calling me?
