Deducting significant custom duties costs and breach of consumer laws

Amevista did not return any contact and so, after 3 weeks, I panicked and returned using royal mails international posting.

Amevista say I did not attach a customs form to the outside of the package meaning that they will deduct £48 from my refund - despite the sunglasses being faulty.

This is despite breaching multiple consumer laws throughout the transaction

Disgusting retailer. DO NOT USE

Unfortunately, this review does not reflect entirely how things went.

We have responded to all of 5 the requests we've had from you, with each reply not exceeding the 2/3 days wait.

We have explained the return procedure in detail, specifying the importance of cooperating with the indications we have given to avoid having problems with the return procedure, which is exactly what happened.

The parcel has been sent without an attached goods declaration on the outside specifying that it was a return of an already purchased item, causing a customs fees charge of £48,84 that had to be paid by us to collect the parcel.

Despite our indications on how to process a return from non EU countries, the procedure was still not followed.

Upon shipping out the parcel, we have already been chared with customs fees which we gladly pay with no hesitations, but unfortunately we can not take accountability for poorly followed return procedures.

Regarding the consumer laws being breached, upon asking you several times which kind of laws have been breached exactly, we never recieved any replies.

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience, but we can not be labeled as something we are not for a mistake made on behalf of the customer.

Horrendous experience - non complaint with the law!

Horrendous experience - the business does not honour consumer rights in the UK.

The website is not clear regarding how to return faulty goods so despite emailing, and messaging them on social media 5 times and waiting 3 weeks for a response, I returned the sunglasses at my own expense (£12). They have refused to reimburse me.

It took weeks to acknowledge receipt of the returned sunglassds and they have refused to reimburse me within the 14 day period from evidencing return (which is the law!) I have now waited 14 days from their receipt of the sunglasses and STILL I have not received a refund.

Disgusting customer service

Counterfeit AirPods and not refunding

Counterfeit goods refusing to refund. I bought AirPods 6 weeks ago. On receipt it was obvious they were counterfeit. The look and feel we’re not authentic, including the light, sound quality and battery life. I contacted KF Direct and they said I could return and provided a pre paid Royal Mail label.

I returned the item nearly 6 weeks ago - when there were NO Royal Mail strikes. Other things I posted that day have been received by other retailers. Despite contacting KF Direct over 8 times (with a photo of the postage receipt) but they keep blaming the Royal Mail strikes.

Firstly, as previously mentioned there were no strikes when I posted the goods. Secondly, I’m aware this has happened to a number of other customers which suggests KF Direct do this regularly and do not refund items. Thirdly, the return of the product is not a consumers responsibility if they have provided proof of return and the return delivery was arranged by the trader.

KF Direct - it’s been 6 weeks - please refund me ASAP in accordance with UK consumer protection laws !

We apologize for the inconvenience but we have to deny this claim that these are not genuine airpods, these are seller upgraded and refurbished.

Please note that these are replaced with aftermarket Grade A OEM Parts and we can't compare with brand new as the quality may differ because of the refurbishment process. The internal components are Apple but the external body can be changed due to hygienic reasons.

If you are looking for flawless quality and performance, we request you to kindly buy brand new Apple Airpods from our website with Apple Warranty, these brand new items start from £240.00. These are refurbished products and that's the reason why they are cheaper than the brand new ones.

You are still covered with seller warranty as well as eligible for full refund but for that we have to get the item back so that we can raise an investigation with the suppliers. We source thousands of items from different suppliers around UK so until we get this item back we are unable to recognize the supplier or from which batch it was sold.
