SubContracters, Crooked and Expensive
During the engineers first visit the attic wasn't entered to find any problem. This means that no entrance holes connecting to the location I reported were investigated, or even information found on what animal was causing the problem. This means that any work done beyond this was potentially a waste of time and so the service I paid for wasn't provided as informed over the phone. Bags of blue bait were chucked up into the attic from the bathroom level and wax blocks thrown under my floorboards and under the stairs.
On the engineers second visit, I informed him that I could still hear noises in the attic. The engineer again didn't go up into the attic on this next visit or remove any poison or animals from the property, even though on my first visit he informed me that he would attempt to remove them during his second visit but instead threw more of the same bait as what was previously chucked up there. Not even climbing into the attic or even bringing his ladders inside to do so can not be seen as providing the service I was sold over the phone as he couldn't possibly know for certain what he was dealing with and having a second opportunity to investigate the problem in the attic and yet still not going up there.
This has meant that my problem of having a potential rodent infestation in my attic that I wanted exterminating has not been resolved and I'm left with a £300 bill.
I rang them up and simply asked for a copy of their terms of service for the work they were supposed to have done. Much of my phone call was spent trying to get them to stick to the initial request of seeing a copy of the Terms of Service where I was constantly asked questions not relating to my request. This felt very in-genuine and crooked.
I was told that if I pay them more money the guy would come back and use a better poison method... I would've thought £300 would justify the good stuff already.
