Another positive purchase experience.

Another positive purchase experience.
Having placed an order for a watch from another authorised dealer, I was advised the model was out of stock with a delivery lead time of 3 weeks. As the watch was for a gift, the lead time was beyond the date I wanted to deliver the watch on.
I searched the internet for the watch make and model and found Francis and Gaye had stock with inclusive next working day delivery. The first AD offered me a 15% discount, I asked Francis and Gaye if they could price match and they were willing to do so.
I paid for my watch in the afternoon and received it the following morning.
Such a swift, easy and pleasurable purchase experience. Their customer support team are quick to respond and are very happy to help. I can wholeheartedly recommend Francis and Gaye Jewellers.

Another positive watch buying…

Another positive watch buying experience.
Over the last 3 months or so, AMJ Watches have become my go-to timepiece retailer of choice. I have an unhealthy obsession with watches, something I’ve suffered since receiving my first mechanical Timex piece as a child. Now into my 50’s, my tastes have changed from being an advocate of Swiss timepieces to gaining an appreciation of Japanese watch design language.
Liquidating my luxury Swiss timepiece collection has allowed me to exploit my current wristwatch desires and AMJ have always had the particular model I wanted to add to my collection in stock, except on one occasion.
Although AMJ are in my home county, dealing with them on line is extremely easy and visiting the store in person has not been necessary.
Harvey Robinson has served me for the most part, being understanding of my exacting needs, he is a gentleman and a credit to the AMJ team, as is Rory. Subsequently, I’ve purchased 7 watches from AMJ to date, they have never given me reason to look elsewhere. Compared to other independent watch retailers, AMJ have exemplary stock levels and they provide market leading interest free credit or generous discounts which are always honoured.
Such great customer service is sadly rare these days, but AMJ pull out all the stops to assure positive purchase experiences. Don’t hesitate contacting Harvey or Rory for your next watch purchase, they will look after you.

Really disappointing to see so many…

Really disappointing to see so many negative reviews for CW Sellors.
As a long term customer of CW Sellors and Jura Watches, my customer experience has never been anything less than excellent for many watch and jewellery purchases.
I recently placed an order for a watch for a gift. I knew the model I ordered was out of stock stating ‘call us for a delivery lead time’. I placed the watch in my online account basket, soon after, Ellis contacted me via their WhatsApp account offering me a discount which I gratefully accepted. I placed the order using Klarna which was very easy to do.
I subsequently called CW Sellors for an update who confirmed my watch had been ordered, but as it was coming from Japan, it may take up to 3 weeks to arrive. This was beyond my timescale as the watch was to be a gift. My fault entirely as I failed to check the delivery lead time prior to ordering. I explained my situation to Hope in their customer services team who was very understanding and was happy to cancel my order accordingly. I received an order cancellation via email and from Klarna immediately.
As always, exemplary customer service received from CW Sellors, even though I was unable to fulfil my order commitment with them. I will not hesitate purchasing from CW Sellors again soon.

Review of AMJ Watches

First Class Customer Service

Over the last month, I have purchased four watches from AMJ, 3 new and one pre-owned. They offer 4 years interest free credit for most of their watch stock which makes purchasing very easy spreading the payments over 48 months without any interest. Most, if not all their competitors offer up to 3 years interest free credit only.
For the most part, I have dealt with Harvey who has been very polite, professional, communicative, and nothing is ever too much trouble, even when they are short staffed. One timepiece I bought was a watch I had desired for several years and learning that the model had been discontinued, I bought the one remaining piece they had in stock. Prior to shipping the watch to me (for a Sunday delivery), Harvey checked the watch prior to dispatch and found a few very small but noticeable scratches on the case. He emailed me saying he is not willing to send me the watch with the case marks and offered to have the case professionally re-finished at their cost, or alternatively, provide a fair and reasonable discount. I bought the watch on line (a very easy process using the V12 Retail Credit they offer) so Harvey emailed macro photos of the case marks to me. I choose to accept the watch as was with the discount. Upon receiving the watch, the case marks are barely visible and can only been seen under certain light. I am delighted with my watch purchase; buying it very easily with interest free credit and receiving a significant discount without asking proved to me this independent authorised dealer have high standards and care about their customers. And from my positive customer experience, I have since purchased 3 other watches from AMJ, latterly dealing with Marc who was also very helpful and accommodating to my exacting needs and my email communication. I received a discount on another expensive watch bought on interest free credit, and they price-matched against another authorised dealer on a watch one of AMJ’s competitors had on sale allowing me a 35% discount off the RRP.
I cannot recommend AMJ Watches highly enough based on my purchasing experience. An independent authorised watch dealer who go the extra mile to serve their customers well.

The worst paint repair I have ever…

The worst paint repair I have ever witnessed...
I booked a SMART repair through my local Inchcape Lexus dealership who, in my case at least, outsourced the work to Revive! UK. I had picked up two small scratches on the front nearside wing of my Lexus NX Premier, circa 40mm and 10mm respectively. My Lexus dealership kindly tried to buff out the larger of the two scratches but it was too deep for it to polish out. I therefore booked a SMART repair through the Inchcape network website.
Revive! UK had my car all day and the standard of workmanship is dreadful and completely unacceptable. Colour match is comparable to a Battenberg cake, paint finish is patchy, inconsistent with blotches of miss-matched paint in various places, the finish is rough to the touch comparable to the surface of the moon... Oh, and there's significant overspray on the scuttle and lower wing trims and the headlight unit under the bonnet.
There is dirt and hairs under the new paint also; a complete amateur job. Frankly, a blind person could have achieved better results using spray cans.
And to find all my memory seat settings altered, plus radio station and infotainment settings messed with upon completion was the last straw, clearly the Revive! UK employee spent more time messing with my car than he did on the worst paint rectification I have ever seen throughout my 32 years of car ownership.
Inchcape Lexus are so embarrassed about this, they are using their own body shop technicians to put right the complete substandard amateur bodge of a job provided by Revive! UK.
This review completely and utterly excludes Inchcape Lexus who have been nothing less than perfect (so far) in their approach and customer service levels. But I strongly suggest Inchcape employ a different SMART repair company moving forward who are capable of providing good and consistent standards of minor bodywork and paint rectification.

Lexus Derby. Am I just unlucky?

Am I just unlucky? I’ve enjoyed great customer service from Lexus Derby since 2012 until February this year when my experience turned unsatisfactory. Two of my most recent company cars (Lexus) were purchased and maintained from Derby and I was very well looked after for 6 years until I came out of my company’s car policy and purchased my own Lexus NX Premier from Lexus Hatfield (who had an example matching my desired spec). I live and work close to Derby so continued using them for servicing etc and set up a service plan. 1st service, no health check video received and oil clearly not changed. This was carried out after I complained. An oil sample was taken for analysis but no outcome was received. More recently, I enquired about SMART repairs after receiving an email offering the service. I enquired 3 times over 2 weeks and did not receive a response. Called again today to be told we don’t actually offer a SMART repair service! This is sadly not the Lexus experience I’m used to!
