It was so easy!

So easy to switch.
Once I picked Home energy to be my new supplier all I had to do was supply meter readings. Everything else was reading emails which kept me informed.

Small in size but Big on pain relief

Small enough to carry around with you if needs be.
Gives instant pain relief from sciatica which I sometimes suffer from.
Family use it regularly as most run and enjoy relief from muscle strains.

Big fan of Ryobi tools

Just bought a RY18GSA-0 Cordless 2-in-1 Grass Shear Shrubber for the wife so she can trim her little bush ( garden variety ).
It's light and easy to use one-handed but is limited by thickness of branches, but for small shrubs it's ideal.
Comes with a small shrubber attachment for grass cutting near trees or other obstacles which your lawnmower cannot reach.
Easy release mechanism for changing between attachments.
Very happy wife!

Brake Discs OK said Perrys-Well not really!!

Took 18 plate Ibiza into Perrys Preston ( turned out it was Kia outlet ) for 12 month service and MOT. Have a Service plan, so nothing to pay unless faults found.
Picked up car. Passed MOT with no advisories. Service carried out. Vehicle health check advised front brake pads worn 70% and rear down to 3mm.Advised to replace both. Discs ticked ' green ' meaning OK.
Took to local garage for new pads.
They advised rear pads ' almost gone ' and needs new Discs- front and rear '.
IVO Perry's OK I went to inspect and was horrified to see state of rear pads-they were almost gone.All 4 discs were badly scored and did indeed need replacing immediatley.
Spoke to Service Mgr at Perry's who simply said technician did a visual inspection only!
When cars are serviced only every 12mths for a hefty fee I expect it to leave with a clean bill of helalth or a thorough inspection to sdvise all faults.
Perrys are a main dealer, not a 'back st garage'.
I'm appalled at their workmanship! They even suggested that in the 10 days since they had the car ( when it had done less than 50 extra miles), the pads and discs could have deteriorated!
I should have known better than to take it to Perrys since I took my Peugeot van away from Perrys Bolton having gotten fed up with their workmanship!
Cancelled the Service Plan, having now learnt my lesson. Will never go back to Perrys!

Verification by phone painless!
In fact noticed my NCD was incorrect. Added 1yr and got a refund of £100+.
Cannot be happier!

They just want to get your money!!

This Coy ( Steve Watson ) with Asain accent?? Rang as I was researching prices for return airline tickets for myself and wife to Brussels for xmas markets short break to Bruges as a Birthday treat.
Wanted hand luggage for 2 and flights via BRU.
Prices had been increasing over last few weeks so was looking for advice as to whether this trend would continue.
Steve??? said it would and I should book without delay. Wanted Brussels airline as hand baggage incl and fly via BRU. He quoted £208 each and I bought. He kept telling me, after paying a £50 deposit, that I had to pay the balance same day and he was about to leave the office so I would need to hurry up and make the payment-which regretably I did.
Tickets recd but after completion something made me check prices for exactly same tickets and found them £100 cheaper!!
You live and learn but an expensive lesson!!

Not as bad as some reviews make out ( incl mine originally )

Just ended a call with customer services.
Offered a free 10 day trial.At end of which £90 annual subscription was taken. No mention beforehand and will not refund.
Absolutely scandalous.
Considering options.
Stay well clear!!!
Update 10/09/23.
£90 now refunded and first case of wines received.
Still not happy that the subscription fee was debited without warning ( they say that was mentioned in phone conversation ) but everything else promised has happened therefore it seems that it is merely their system that needs to change.

Free hearing test. No if's, but's, or maybe's-you'll know|

Came in for a free hearing test.Seen almost immediately by Daniel who explained what was going to happen in a straightforward and simple manner.
Felt at ease throughout and received my test results in a graph form. One for each ear. My hearing was slightly less than the norm but for a 70 year old, not bad.Results showed that higher pitched sounds were more difficult for me to hear than lower pitched and that my right ear was slightly worse than my left.
All in all a very useful exercise at no cost. I now have a base-line should I feel any deterioration. In any event I was advised to re-test in 3-5 years.

Initial i/v with me was great. Ended that Scott would ring back when my wife was available. Date and time agreed which Scott confirmed was OK but sadly he did not call.
So we have moved on.
If arrangements are agreed but not followed then it's not a business we would use.

1 Star ( as can't give 0 )

1 Star ( as can't give 0 ). Perrys Bolton gave me a fixed price of £1371 for repairs needed after routine service 09/09/22.
To date of the 3 items included in the bill only 1 has been fixed.
The outstanding items are 1-Water Pump/ Timing belt replacement needed as pump leaking which could contaminate Belt causing catastrophic engine damage they said.
Booked in twice now and due to incorrect/lack of parts still not repaired.
After checking before most recent booking date that all was well turned up on the day to be told parts still incorrect.
The other item, a CV Boot, is still to be repaired. Reason not done not yet advised!
Already lost 1 days work. Will be at least 2 now -£400-£1000 down.
Not even a guarantee that all will be well on 27/10/22 when its now booked in.
If anything untoward happens in the meantime who will foot the BILL!
Bet its not Perrys!!!

Surprised to find this site gave the cheapest price for a 2 night stay in Southport- but it did !
Easy peasy to save around £50.

Only 3 because of penny pinching !!

Excellent value for money and great service let down by a £12.50 fuel charge and two tyres barely meeting the 3mm threshold which they apply.
And now the tyre pressure warning light is back on, ( it was on during my test drive but told not to worry ).
Still it is one of the wheels I was going to replace at my own expense anyway!!
Still it may be worth trying to take another star off-Lets see if it works.

Booking was really easy online but…

Booking was really easy online but after getting the confirming email I noticed I had booked Saturday BUT a week later than was needed!
My fault entirely.
I rang the Helpline immediately but told needed an hour for order to be processed before they could help.
Although I didn't ring until the following day & was told no availability she offered to ring my local centre and they managed to squeeze me in.
Excellent Customer Service!!
Well impressed. Thank you.
