DHL & DEUTSCHE POST ARE HIJACKING MY DOCUMENTATION
I was expecting to receive an extremely important package from Portugal with my passport and other sensitive documents. Yesterday (04.03.23) the package finally arrived in Berlin. However, from one moment to the next the status changed from "The item was processed on 04.04.2023 at our Logistics Center Berlin Center" to "The item is currently being delivered" and right after to "The item could not be delivered and is being returned to sender".
They never rang the bell, knocked on the door or any DHL driver came by. I have witnesses that they never showed up.
I contacted DHL customer service and no one will tell me why this happened, only that it was returned and there is nothing left to do but wait.
I was told that it may take 4 to 8 more weeks to arrive in Portugal again. The worst of all? The package is still in Berlin and I can't go to collect it. I need my documents urgently.
Terrible experience with DHL and the Deutsche Post. Terrible service and communication from the support. They are hijacking my personal documentation and showing no interest in helping me or solving this huge issue.
