Have dealt with E-Infinity in the past and found them to be excellent to shop with. Delivery times are very reasonable so really I can't fault them. Would recommend.

Ordered Sony camera for an upcoming holiday some 2 weeks away. No feedback on likely delivery time. Eventually after a lot of pestering delivery was promised for about 2 or 3 days before holiday. It didn’t happen. So had to use existing gear for holiday. China deliveries always been good in past from other suppliers. Not impressed by this company. Said they would give small discount for lack of delivery. Didn’t happen.

UK Camera Club was not a company that immediately sprang to mind. But wanted a Leica camera and they actually had one in stock. Everyone else had an 8 month waiting list or something equally daft. Bought and delivered within a week!

Never had a problem with our manager, Nikki Cape at Little Bicton Court. She will certainly fight her corner if push comes to shove but in the light of todays issues she is all for doing things ourselves if possible rather than pushing every job out to a tradesman who will charge what he wants. No, I have found her firm but sympathetic and able to listen to complaints and easy
to get on with.
However she was hounded out early 2024 because of unfounded complaints by a couple of residents who couldn’t get her to do what they wanted plus a lot of totally unfounded accusations. Management wanted an easy life and made it so that her only choice was to go. So much for management support. So FP lost a totally reliable employee. However she now has a stress free life elsewhere.

Latest Mac Big Sur operating system didn't like my Samsung USB connected laser printer. I think most printers will struggle to mechanically connect to latest Macs. So bought HP printer which connects via AirPrint. Pure magic and easy to set up. Even works with Silicon Macs. The trick is to INSTALL the HP app on each computer in use. Delivery from Printerbase was more or less instant with frequent messages saying where the printer was in the delivery chain. Very useful.

Went to Shell after my previous (Green energy) supplier significantly raised the cost of their standing charge so negating my hopes of staying with them. So far have had good service with Shell. Had hoped to have a Smart meter installed but Shells meters are not compatible if you have an Economy 7 tariff but then I didn't really want one anyway so I am quite happy!!

Bought a Fuji camera and lens. Took 8 days from the order to delivery. Don't think you can complain about that. Had to nudge them over how the order was progressing. Other than that, fine. Would certainly deal again.

Elad FDM DUOr - bought this because I have had several unfortunate experiences with AOR7030 receivers. Basically the latter radios are starting to suffer from leaky circuit mounted batteries which cause corrosion etc and wonky tuning knobs. Basically old technology. Found the Elad radio using a Wellbrook antenna because that is what I am reduced to, was basically just as good. Would love a 50ft long wire but live in a retirement flat and such things are verboten! Shortwave is slowly dying but hope it will persist/exist till I am gone!!!
Still plenty to listen to, especially after dark. Daytime a bit dead. Sunspot cycle might have something to do with things.

Had a new kitchen to finish off and specifically wanted Turkish tiles. Otto Tiles were able to supply the pattern I wanted ie not too dark in this instance and 25 tiles was all that I needed to do the job. Made sure I employed a professional tiler to do the job and actually ended up with 5 spare tiles!
Have had 51 holidays in Turkey over the years including 5 in İstanbul so I am fairly familiar with Turkish tile designs and love everything Turkish. Delivery was amazing, like next day.
Am well pleased with the tiles, delivery, and installation.

So far, only had them for a week, signal around Exmouth/ Exeter a bit patchy but compared to previous EE its costing me "not a lot"! Will certainly stick with them. Bottom line is my BT landline contract was costing big time so don't use it now.
