Awesome (and Room for Improvement)
Okay... I rarely ever write reviews for things that are less than excellent, because I generally don't like being a "bad news" kind of person. I like being the "good news" kind of person.
So, let me begin with the good. The service works! I have a server in 7 Days to Die. And as far as I know, the price is reasonable and setup was super easy.
If I didn't have a more specific need, I would have given 5/5 stars because they would have been totally deserved.
However, I had a specific need which was to transfer my saved game that I had played on my own server (with 90 hours invested into that game) onto the dedicated server.
The transfer process *should* be simple. It's just a matter of transferring the right files and adjusting the right lines on the configuration files.
And 4NetPlayers DOES have two wiki pages outlining exactly how to do just that.
Trouble is... I tried to, and could not manage to do so successfully. I enlisted the help of a friend who is even more tech & programming savvy than I am, and he could not either.
I then contacted their customer support (and this is where stars were lost in my experience) about this, and I specifically let them know that I tried their wiki on my own, and then again with the help of a friend... and the response I got was that to try their very comprehensive wiki.
It felt not cool. I felt like I just needed some guidance in how to use their product which I had just begun paying for... and my request for help went unseen and unheard.
4NetPlayers, if you're reading this, please don't punish the customer support individuals. Rather, prioritize making one or two video walkthroughs of the step-by-step's outlined in the wiki. That will help eliminate confusion and miscommunication, and will instead create clarity and promote ease-of-use.
Thank you--- and keep up the good work!
