Extremely poor communication from…

Extremely poor communication from Debenhams. Ive been trying to return this order since the day it arrived as it wasn't suitable. They make it impossible to return an order, with a portal that doesn't work, no customer care contact details apart from on WhatsApp. I was trying to return the order for the full returns window, with still no response from Debenhams or Gini London the partner company. They now say i can only receive a store credit, despite seeing all the return attempts and records of me contacting them explaining the situation. I have now finally managed to get a returns label and over a week since I posted the parcel, no contact or response. I'd be very careful of shopping online at Debenhams, their returns process is prehistoric compared to their competitors. A straightforward return shouldn't be this complicated.

Update: I received an email yesterday and replied immediately with the information requested. I have still not received a refund or reply to that email.

2nd update: This hasn't been resolved with your customer care department, since I last updated my review I've still had no response. The other reviews here reflect my poor experience. Avoid Debenhams online at all costs.

Bad quality and poor returns policy

I have purchased from this company before and was really pleased with both the products and their service. On this order I have been really disappointed. I ordered 8 glass jars with bamboo lids. One arrived cracked, so I messaged the company immediately. Then when I looked at the others I noticed two others had chips in them, one of which I cut myself on. Having almost half of the order damaged/faulty I was very unhappy. Especially as they aren't cheap. Almost a month on and I have had to repeatedly email for a response. They have agreed to a partial refund however they want me to post back the damaged jars at my own cost. These are glass jars! I don't think it's great customer service to expect a customer to arrange and pay for a return of faulty/damaged products. Especially as they will most likely get damaged in the post upon return. Had I not chased repeatedly I doubt I'd have ever received any form of partial refund either. As a small conpany I gave them the benefit of the doubt before putting a review on but unfortunately I dont feel they provided a great service on this occasion. Sadly I won't be using this company again or recommending them.

I LOVE this company

I LOVE this company! My order arrived quickly and really well packaged. Updates were clear and easy to follow via email. The soap and washing up liquid bottles themselves are beautiful! Really well made, high quality, look great in my kitchen. The labels on the bottles are waterproof and look really smart. I chose the acacia wooden tray and that looks great too! Really impressed and would definitely shop with this company again.

Our new worktop is beautiful and I am pleased with the overall service. Our delivery was delayed a week due to a problem with machinery at the factory and then when our worktops were delivered unfortunately our island was marked by the clamp it was carried in with. Gemini did send out someone to do remedial work the following week and after a lot of back and forth via email, agreed to partially refund us for the issues we encountered.

I would still recommend Gemini and am really pleased with our new worktops.

Unfortunately disappointed

I really like the concept of Wild deodorant, after months of seeing adverts for it I decided to give it a try. The refills smell amazing but unfortunately don't stay in the case very well, the deodorant leaves clumps of white under my arms and the lovely smell fades away very quickly. I appreciate this isn't an antiperspirant however it doesn't work effectively to keep body odours at bay. The case looks great however mine arrived scratched on both sides. Which is a shame when the idea is to reuse it and just replace the refills. I wouldn't have been so bothered about this if the product worked for me. Unfortunately it doesn't. Wild deodorant is a great idea, sadly it is just not effective enough to use as a deodorant.

I've used Envirofone before but…

I've used Envirofone before but unfortunately this time I was very disappointed with the service. I was selling my old phone, which I'd only had for a year, as I was offered an early upgrade on my contract. The phone was in brand new condition, as I kept it in a protective case, with a screen protector, and had only used it for a year. I packaged the phone up, with a full battery, in the factory reset condition, and sent it in the original box in a bubble wrapped pouch. After a few days I got an email saying the phone had failed the test upon arrival and said the condition of the phone was 'fair' rather than excellent and they would offer me £45 less than originally stated. I requested the phone was sent back to me as I knew it was worth more than the lower offer Envirofone gave me.

The phone which was sent back to me, although the same make and model, was NOT my phone. It had scratches and chips down both sides, sticker marks all over the back and the camera was dirty. This is not the phone I sent them and now I'm left with a phone that is indeed in "fair" condition because its not the one I sent them. Obviously they won't accept this and will say it can't be proved. All I'm saying is beware when you send in an old phone, and I would suggest adding something to the box with your details on it so they can't send you back a different one. Very disappointed in the service this time and won't be using them again.

Quick and easy service to use

Quick and easy service to use. I would recommend and use again.

The post office did say that legally if you're posting a phone it should say on the packaging there is an electrical item inside. Maybe worth putting on the packaging for future orders?

Great company, would recommend

We were really impressed with how easy it was to order. The delivery went smoothly and we're happy with the travel system we bought. The prices were great compared to other companies! We even ended up ordering our nursery furniture with Online4baby too. Would definitely recommend.

Slow delivery

Slow delivery - suggest using someone other than Hermes as they caused the problem rather than Chilly's themselves. They did reply to my emails promptly when I got in touch about the first failed delivery.
