Leather shoes made of plastic

Advertising as leather shoes, but on receiving said shoes realising they are plastic, very cheap and inferior quality with insoles that are one step away from paper. Refund policy is a joke, UK buyer but I’d need to ship them back to the US which would cost loads and judging by other reviews not likely to get a refund.
I’d 100% not wear these shoes out. This company and product are very well marketed, sell under various names but 100% a scam. Keep your money and buy from a proper company with proper shoes. BEWARE!!!

6 months after my review, Gatsby respond with good read, sadly none of it a reality. These are one of the worst things I've ever purchased, and Gatsby a terribly dishonest company. Per my original review, just spend your money elsewhere!!!

Great business to deal with!

I needed new plates for my 1990 BMW, was particularly keen to get some dealer style plates but the dealer was long gone many years ago. Prash and I worked on a design that worked base on similar old style BMW dealer plates.
Great quality plates, love the design and superb customer service. Thanks!

Top work, great people to deal with

I got recommended to The alloy clinic by a fellow BMW enthusiast as I needed a set of 16" Alpina wheels sorted and refurbed. The quality of work Ryan has lavished on these wheels is incredible.
Excellent communication, very reasonable price, quality of work is superb and overall a lovely guy who takes pride in his work.

I'll happily recommend these guys to anyone, and I'll definitely be back with more wheels!

Great Customer service

Had an issue with a recent purchase, contacted Customer svs, they replied very promptly, arranged for me to send the item back (FOC), and replaced, all within 5 days. Great stuff guys, it's customer service like this that will keep people coming back for more :)

Gozney DOME - Incredible bit of kit

Having owned a Roccbox from the original Kickstarter batch in 2016 - it's still as good 5 years on.
When the Dome was announced I was lucky enough to get an pre-order on and was in batch 2 or 3 for delivery.
Having owned it now for 2 months I can say it's the best oven I've owned and used (had OONI, Portuguese Woodfired ovens, AlfaPizze 4 dual fuel) it's incredibly well designed and the user in mind is evident from the materials and finish, controls, ease of setup and so on.
To light it's a doddle, I have the dual-fuel one. SO to use on gas, turn and depress the knurled knob and it lights straight away with a good variable flame range. On gas, I've managed to get it to around 600c!!
If I want to use wood, I just throw a load of hardwood in the middle of the oven, light the gas burner and head off to prep food..... come back to it 15 minutes later and the oven is comfortably sat at 350-400c with a nice amount of embers from the wood, which I then flick the gas off and cover the burner with the stone puck and then carry on feeding with wood when required to maintain temps...... it really is SO easy. The ash grill and pan underneath are also another great way to very quickly clean the ash out. My bigger Alfa oven requires fiddling around with a hoover or dustpan to get it cleared out - not so here!
The stand is very well made and incredibly sturdy, requires assembly but it's a 45 minute job and very easy, tools included. The oven requires no assembly, simply pop it from the box onto the stand, hook up gas, away you go.
Worth every bit it's asking price and more and can't wait to cook with it most days.
It's always easy to be sucked in by the neggy reviews from owners who haven't yet received their ovens, Gozney are not a massive company with 000's of staff, but my experience is only one of praise, they're a great team and genuinely care about their customers, and continue to be generous as has been noted on Facebook on many occasions where they have helped folks start up a pizza business through lockdown, or replaced ovens for folks who's houses got raised in wildfires, etc. I for one remember those things and am happy to support the business to anyone that will listen!

If you want to insure your classic with confidence, simple to understand jargon, speak with a UK based human for a great price and agreed valuation.... Then Hagerty hit the spot.
I just googled and found these guys, spoke to Tom, knowledgeable & incredibly helpful and a company policy of not trying to add on fee’s here and there.

Spot on customer service guys. Just got yourself a repeat customer for years to come.

Woeful customer service

Woeful customer service.

Have tried on so many occasions to pay them money as a Landlord, every time I get through I get the whole ‘system is down, it’s on the wrong system, can’t access the system’ etc etc.

This is 2020, not 1992.... get your systems in order, it’s a simple CRM solution with billing. Can’t be that hard! Have also found the outsourced customer service centre to be poor quality.

Nova Outdoor Living - novaoutdoorliving

Bought a Nova Leisure outdoor garden sofa set and 3.5m cantilever parasol last summer from Whitestores in 2019.

All arrived when agreed, price was ok and nice looking furniture.

- the table top was badly marked / manufactured. I contacted Nova Leisure who said they no longer do that model, so couldn’t offer a replacement.... annoying as it matches the sofas! Said they would be getting different stuff in for 2020 but no idea what... so my options were to wait until 2020 or get some money back. Opted for a credit back.

- the parasol (£479) is pretty cool as it is illuminated underneath. Reality is that we don't use the lights. Main issue with this thing is that on a nice summers day, if it’s anything other than ‘still’ weather, the slightest of breeze has this parasol swinging around violently. I emailed a short video clip to Nova who told me between them they agreed that it was too windy to have a parasol up and not designed for that type of weather!

So.... in the U.K. even on a nice day, there’s usually a breeze which technically makes this quite unusable!! It’s clouted me on the head twice.

Save your money and buy a proper one from elsewhere by researching online beforehand.
*edited due to Nova trying to report my review for breaching terms. Don’t like an honest review eh? Downgraded from 3 stars to 2 because of that. Well done.

**Editing 9 months on** I got a call from a very concerned staff member (Aug 20) who suggested that their MD isn't keen on negative reviews, he promised the earth to sort out my issue.... and then never heard from him again!
Since then in the past weeks I've had a few notifications from Trustpilot where it seems Nova are attempting to get my review removed by suggesting I've reviewed the 'wrong' company. Hilarious the hassle they'll go to rather than actually calling and sorting a customer issue.

Having reached a final straw with…

Having reached a final straw with British Gas, I did some research and moved to Octopus.

Total breath of fresh air, easy setup, easy to understand, UK people to talk to and great pricing.

I asked if they could change my older smart meters to the latest ones and a chap called Luke turned up today. What a top helpful chap! Job done, happy customer.

If you’re thinking of moving, do it.

Bought a futon bean bag - rubbish experience

Bought a futon bean bag thing. Took a week to arrive, set it up but quality wasn’t great. Most annoying was that when you fold the futon out flat it had a really horrible feeling material on the topside that faces you. Something you can’t see from their clever online pics. The filling was some kind of foam bits which made the outer cover feel lumpy.
I emailed and requested to return it, which was all arranged easily, proper nightmare getting it all back in to its box. Was collected fine and refund received a week later though they forgot to credit £30 worth of cushions, only noticed that from my bank records. Emailed them and was easily rectified.

What I hadn’t realised is that on the day I purchased I called them about 3 times to add some extra items etc. Little did I realise their contact number cost well over 50p per minute.

I mean, who the hell uses a Business rate line for customers to call in this day and age? So had a fat phone bill to go with it.

Overall not that impressed.

Sat enjoying a cuppa and BOOM! - No Internet...

Sat enjoying a cuppa, Internet goes dead... as does phone.
I call BT, they know nothing, i look out the window to see an Openreach van so i go and speak to the chap and explain whats happened and 'could' he have knocked my cable in the Green box while he was fixing up my neighbours connectivity issue. He suggested not but 'if he got time' he'd take a look....
I called BT back and explained that the strong link between OR Man and my line going dead... they raised a fault with OR and gave me a 5 day leadtime to resolve. In fairness, another OR engineer called me later in the day to take a look and said he could see exactly what had happened... the 1st engineer had disconnected my house and used the wires to instead connect my neighbour up!! - Unbelievable (though reading on here seems commonplace)

So.... back to BT I go as you see, you can't contact Openreach when you have a problem, you have to go back through your ISP who feed you the standard 'fix' or 'complaint' SLA banter... in other words, gets swept under the carpet, bleat enough and you can extract a credit for the troubles but i don't think thats good enough.

After 5 days over the xmas period with no internet, Christmas films etc they finally came and sorted it.

I get that mistakes get made, but what absolutely makes my Pi$$ boil is an organisation that can't be held to account because they are basically the Monopoly that own the infrastructure that BT, SKY, PlusNet etc all use. And yeah, i could go and use a cable provider, but that means dealing with Virgin who are (IMHO) even more crooked and shoddy that BT & OR combined.

In a world of choice, you're completely snookered by these awful org's. Writing a review on here isn't to help or warn others not to use them as you don't have much choice as they're all rubbish, but 'IF' someone at OR or BT do ever look at a Trustpilot rating and see how woefully they score and decide to try and fix their shocking actions then it's served its purpose.
