False claims everywhere

I have a left review on their website after my purchase but they did not publish it which raises a lot of red flag and supports my initial thoughts about their falls claims all over the website.

I have purchased a “boar bristle brush”. Real boar bristle brushes are expensive so I was keen to try this affordable one. When the brush arrived, I could see straight away it’s not real boar bristles.

After I complained they sent me an email telling me how they ethically source real boar bristles etc. totally nonsense. I’m a hair dresser… I know my brushes! They probably just source it from China and repeat whatever heir supplier tells them.

They also make wild claims saying they sold over 1.000.000 brushes… yeah right. Another red flag!

Overall that’s not a good look and while I was tempted to buy one of their silk pillowcase, I’ll look somewhere else because it’s probably satin and not silk.

– The claim that Silkie has served over 1,000,000 customers refers to our entire product range, across our website, Amazon, and trusted retail partners — not to one individual product.

– Our silk products, including pillowcases and scrunchies, are made with certified 100% pure mulberry silk. We do not use or substitute satin. We are OEKO-TEX certified and work with reputable suppliers to ensure quality and authenticity.

It’s unfortunate that these points were misrepresented, especially when we had attempted to engage with you privately to resolve the issue. If you would still like support, we are here to help — but it’s important to us that our community sees the full picture.

Had issues with the delivery but otherwise good product at a good price.

Order placed for a table on March 29th. No signs of the table or email notification for a dispatch. Their support said that the delivery company "had trouble reaching me"... i don't see why.

Support agent arranged for the table to be delivered next day between 9 and 12. I waited at home, no calls or emails from the delivery company.

Went back on the chat, same reply. "the delivery company had a hard time reaching you". He arranged for the table to be delivered next day ...again. Yet again, table never showed up and no missed call from the delivery company.

UPDATE:
Finally got my table and happy with it. Can’t fault the product at a great price.

Automatically put on a subscription.

If you purchase on their website, you are automatically being subscribed for a new purchase every month without any kind of clear opt-in. Cancelling that subscription is very complicated on their website. Very shady techniques that completely put me off their products even though, they re products are ok and I do like the form factor with the magnet. Hence why I gave it 2 stars.

They are the only ones that had the item I wanted in stock. The account opening process was indeed a bit of a pain like other reviews mentioned and they could really do with guest checkout. Other than that, it shipped really fast, well packaged and great after sale care.

Stay away - scammed kickstarted campaign.

Similar to the other review. I have backed their kickstarter campaign for their workout machine. It’s been delayed by over a year and a half and they have now stopped all communications with the backers. They basically stole our money. Never buy from this brand.

Not accessible from UK’s main ISP

The tool itself is good but don’t even think about using it in the UK. Virgin blocks all the content hosted on Adilo. In fact it even blocks access to adilo’s page so unless you use a VPN you cant access anything. I have contacted their support multiple times and they either ignore or just say they ll look into it. It’s been over a year and I never got any follow up.

misleading 30days return policy

Beware of the "30 days hassle free returns" policy. I bought a pair of earbuds that I wanted to return within an 1 hour after it got delivered. Took them out of the box and immediately saw that they were too bulky. Ive not even turned them on. I have been denied return because headphones are excluded from that 30 days hassle free. Their bold 100% guarantee claims on the website do not hint at any products being excluded.
Very misleading. wont be shopping there again.

Brilliant service and product

Very pleased with the hoover but taking time to leave a review because of the great customer service.

The hoover started to have some issues after about a year and a half. I called the support line and got to someone without having to wait for hours. We jumped an a video call, she checked few things and concluded there was a problem with the motor. 2 days later, a new unit arrived.

Brilliant service and great products.

False discount advertisment

Similar to what other reviews have mentioned, I was lured with a £10 for subscribing but the code wasn't accepted at checkout.

After a few back and forth with support I got the following answer: "Our offers are subject to availability, in this instance it seems that you may have just missed out."

I have tried to place the order 2 minutes after receiving my coupon code and the promotional pop up is still showing on the website.

Bad service and bad practices.

Missed opportunity to give a good support experience

missed opportunity to give a good customer service experience. I did miss the return window by a few days but i am looking to exchange a toilet that hasn't been touched and original packaging not opened as it is not suitable due to unforeseen pipe placement restrictions. I wanted to exchange for a more expensive item + some addition products for the bathroom. Missed opportunity to give a good client support experience and would have added more revenues. I will now by those extra few products elsewhere and wont be back.

expectations vs reality

expectations vs reality. The bouquet looks nothing like the picture on the website. I paid £43.5 for a very pale looking bouquet without much effort put into it. I'm now on my way to get something more decent from M&S for half the price. Tried to go on the website chat to get this sorted but i can only talk to a bot.

Good coffee. Not a great machine. Terrible customer service.

I have it 3 stars because I actually like their coffee but their website and customer service is horrendous. Bought a barista coffee machine Shiah is just ok.

- The coffee machine is very loud. The top lid is a bit flimsy. The “bin” for empty pods is too small and needs to be emptied all the time. You can’t turn the machine on ahead of making your coffee which I find irritating.

- I subscribe to their newsletter to get a discount code. It never came through. Wrote 2 emails to customer service, never got a reply.

I’d probably stick to nespresso.

The product itself is ok - Customer service is not

The product itself is ok, overpriced but ok. I received a product that was faulty with a chip on one of the edges (was a product previously returned?). Their support took ages to get back to me and it took some following up on my end. After an unnecessary long chain of emails, the issue got sorted but that put me off buying from them again
