This was a gift and although I was very excited to receive and use it in principle, this feeling soon passed and unfortunately it’s back in its box and very unlikely to be seen again. I won’t bother to list my reasons as I’ve wasted enough time with it and only wish to warn others and suggest they look at alternatives to this expensive failure. It is only due to politeness towards the gift giver that I haven’t asked for the receipt in order to get rid of it.

Edited on 03-07-25 to add; Birdfy seem to be demanding my private telephone number in order to recognise my review as genuine, I will not be providing this information but it does make me feel that my refusal to give it will allow them to dump this feedback and resolve this issue by making it just disappear.

After making my first ever payment to…

After making my first ever payment to moonpig I was automatically taken to a page that I believed was also from moonpig as the offer provided on the page was for my next purchase with moonpig but in fact was a sign-up page for a completely different company (completesavings.co.uk) which requires a monthly subscription of £18.00 (only detailed in the small print of an email that dropped into my inbox) that I feel I was tricked into agreeing to. I wouldn’t expect this to happen from the secure payment page of a reputable company. My first and last purchase with moonpig.

If it was possible to give zero stars I…

If it was possible to give zero stars I would have opted for that. Today whilst exiting Shannon Tunnel in Limerick, I was forced to evade a DPD vehicle that pulled into my lane while driving parallel to me. Although the driver had manoeuvred to overtake me, it would seem that having placed me in their blindspot the driver forgot I was there and in a 10 second time frame pulled over into my lane forcing me into an off/on ramp that thankfully was available at the exit of the tunnel. On drawing level with me I had noticed the erratic driving style of the driver and took care by slowing my speed in anticipation of something going wrong but it was also evident that there were parcels stacked high on the passenger seat which undoubtedly obscured the drivers view of the near side wing mirror.

I give credit to the driver only to the fact that they made an acknowledgment of the dangerous manoeuvre by flashing the hazard lights on receipt of sounding my horn. My vehicle is equipped with a dash cam and I have downloaded a record of this but am yet decided on how I will use it to make the public aware of the lack of safety procedures regarding obscured mirrors by allowing the stacking of parcels in the front compartment.

Should a representative of DPD wish to contact me for a visual record of events and some explanation of why parcels are allowed to be carried in a way that is dangerous, not only the driver but also to innocent and responsible road users, I would be happy to hear from them via this message. Although I suspect my only satisfaction will be to post the visuals on social media in the hope that they improve their safety procedures to a level that gives their drivers the best possible chance of avoiding accidents. I’m not holding my breath!

Bought a 30 metre expandable hose…

Bought a 30 metre expandable hose approximately 2 weeks ago and although it was fairly expensive I hoped it would represent better quality and value than a previously owned budget brand. Today the inner tube seems to have broken completely into 2 parts, the outer sleeve is not damaged or torn and it was not misused.

I will try the retailer and hope for a resolve to this but It certainly did not compare In durability or cost to the budget product I previously owned.
