Shop With Confidence - The Best Customer Service!

Having decided to close our Sky TV account, we wanted a Freesat box. We made an enquiry at Hughes in Spalding & spoke with Graham. Hugely knowledgeable it was a pleasure to deal with Graham/Hughes. We asked a question of Graham which was for info not included in the product description which Graham didn't know. Graham went away to find out and called back. We had so much confide ce in placing the order for our new Freedat box with Graham% Hughes. We chose one not in Stock at Spalding on mid Saturday afternoon, we collected it shortly after 10 am as we were shopping in town.
You can't beat local shopping .... you can't beat shopping at Hughes!! Just talk to Graham ... Top man. Thank you.

Totally disjointed service, standard excuses, disgusting - Never again!

Large parcel 2 packages - each 50kg. Missed their intra depot changeover system Friday so sat "in transit" until today, Monday, and all I get is delivery by 18:00. With such heavy parcels - twice the H&S lifting limit each and me over 70 with heart trouble I can't have someone here all day just in case the lorry turns up.
This delivery is discourteous and a real joke especially when compared to other couriers.
I'll never send via TNT - full stop.
If I know a vendor wants to use TNT then I'll persuade them to use an alternative courier or possibly place my order elsewhere.

Paid for a fast service and got a…

Paid for a fast service and got a tortoise ~ AGAIN!
Paid for a product which had to be shipped from Devon to South Lincolnshire [Collected from Devon Thursday afternoon] and was acknowledged on TNT web tracker - received the email from TNT with the tracking number and when I looked at it [Friday morning] it said it was collected by them it said that it was due for delivery by 1800 Friday but no other markers on their web tracker. On a call to customer service, because their "Live Chat" died twice on me without me contacting an "Agent" Customer service ran me around the depots as to the route of the parcel WHEN it's acknowledged to be in their delivery system and it won't be delivered today AND they don't know whether it will be delivered Monday.
All this is fine except for a couple of things - the value of the parcel in their care and having it maybe in their system over a weekend ~ so far it might even be stuck in the back of a van somewhere in their yard!! Additionally, the parcel - likely to be a pallet which will have to be broken down for me to move the contents - each of 2 units on the pallet will be 100+lbs and for me [70+ yrs old] to move alone is more than a big ask - I can't have a friend on standby "just in case" the TNT driver turns up!!
Last time I used TNT was for an international parcel and there were not dissimilar issues.
AND - before that TNT delivered something to a neighbour, the 7.5tonne lorry backed into MY drive to turn and attacked and damaged my walnut tree. When I contacted customer service it was just shrugged off.
AVOID IF YOU CAN ~ or use AT YOUR PERIL

Hermes are great when they are great…BUT ...

Hermes are great when they are great but £$%*&^% when they aren't - sooo exasperating!!!
Parcel gets to last depot before delivery. Then says out for delivery - next comes a message, accident on route, slowing delivery.
Almost simultaneously I get an email that there was a problem, the parcel was overweight 2kg paid for 2.35 measured [accidentally over] and I'd get an invoice - the remainder of the story surrounds it being a very probable SCAM to get a small amount of money and bank details. Information on email/invoice contained numerous links!!! and text appearing to be not relevant whatsoever but re finances - more like a SCAM!!!
ALL CONTACT TO RESOLVE THIS WAS THWARTED - BRICK WALLED - YOU CANNOT GET HOLD OF A HUMAN.
My parcel was at risk of being returned as I wasn't about to pay anything until could verify what was going on. Try as I might the brick wall could not be broken - the "customer service / help" closed leaving further attempts in vain.
The morning following, just after the "customer help" lines opened, the parcel was said to have been delivered without me making any payment an without me speaking to a human!!
INFURIATING!!
As I said - when they are good, they're good
BUT
when they are bad they are absolutely, infuriatingly, pathetic.
2 questions remain -
Can you live with this level of service?
Are any other couriers out there consistently better?

If you can live with the above, Hermes may be for you.

I've had a most frustrating experience…

I've had a most frustrating experience with TNT - wait in all day and they failed to deliver through overloading the driver's schedule. My delivery will now be delivered tomorrow and they can't tell me when or if it will be definitely delivered tomorrow. Customer Service were polite and seemed frustrated too but effectively all answers were NO. Customer service did tell me that TNT are basically a B2B [business to business] carrier/courier.
Tomorrow I have an early morning appointment and a late morning appointment ~ what are the chances of missing the delivery. Going to collect the parcel will be around 70 miles round trip.
My experience has been totally frustrating and cost me a whole day [now 2 days] waiting for the delivery.
If I have a choice I will not be using TNT again.

Fast efficient service and a good…

Fast efficient service and a good quality product.
I got fed up when mowing lawns with trying to transfer cuttings from mower bag to a rubbish bag for disposing of in the local recycling centre - they were always too small for the size of the mower box and resulted in much overspill - these bags are the right size to place over the mower box and tip up in one go!!
Yay! ~ Frustrations over :)
