Website better than a visit this time

I knew more from the website than I gained from visiting the site office - it was a poor use of my time. To be fair your staff member did note they were just standing in for someone on holiday.

Hi Jeremy,

Sorry to hear you did not have a great experience at our showroom. We are mostly an online company and have only just recently opened the showroom as an extra for people to try chairs. Our sales team (for now) is mostly based remotely so the best information is in fact online or by calling us on 0800 644 5064. Even when in the showroom!

The showroom will improve with time and we will work on getting better training for our staff who cover sickness and holidays.

Arrangements and administration was simple and straight forward. Scan process was prompt and thoughtful. Report arrived back in a couple of days and they liaised with the hospital on the scan results

Some and and some bad bits

The early stage was easy to navigate, however the add ons (like cabins) can be complicated and confusing. This meant the final bill looked too high - and again it was not easy to see how you amended it. For you it meant you did not look as favourable as you should against the plane option

Awful macdonalds in Middlesborough

Awful - restaurant was chaotic and dirty. Maintenon staff working on the ceiling where food was being prepared. Food took nearly 30 minutes and only after started to ask them where the food was - they were very rude. Many customers waiting and staff from delivery services waiting. Restaurant was covered in used remnants of some Halloween celebration - overall a very unpleasant experience.

New kitchen from Magnet York

I had been thinking about a kitchen for a couple of years and, when I thought I had saved enough I looked at three potential suppliers, Wren, Magnet and Howdens. After early meetings I was not that keen on Howdens, you could not deal with them directly and the contractor they referred me to kept quoting huge prices only to find large discounts when I queried it. Got two good kitchen designs and quotes from both Wrens and Magnet, Wrens were cheaper but Magnet offered to match less £1,000 - it was difficult to argue but no shame on Wrens it was a good quote and design. I was obviously concerned when it came to delivery - but I should not have feared, the good arrived as stated, Dave the fitter did the job in a week and recommended an electrician and tiler both of who were excellent choices and were reasonably priced. The kitchen is now complete, it was out of service for a week as they said. Delighted with the kitchen and the process. Big thanks to Dale who did the design.

Poor and unhelpful service

Took time off work for an eye test with SpecSavers at Vangarde York. Despite booking it with SpecSavers and me accepting the diary appointment from their website in my diary I was made to feel foolish when I told no no such appointment existed and they were full and I should leave. I will have to take my money elsewhere, I advise you to too.

Excellent service

Excellent service - ordered over a hundred photos ( a collection of many years I had not printed) some large and some standard size, plus a couple of photobooks. All apart from the large photos arrived promptly within a few days - the large photos did not - but the day after i contacted Photobox about their non arrival - they re printed with no quibble and sent them to me.

Would have preferred the large ones straight away, but truly delighted with how they responded to the problem in a quick and no nonsense way.
