Truly awful service

Ordered an item that the website claimed was in stock and would be delivered within 2 days. It wasn't.

No communication from staples about this so it was only when it wasn't delivered that I looked on the website to discover it won't even be sent for at least another 8 days.

As a result, I want to cancel the order but I'm not sure that's possible!!

Tried calling 5 times throughout the day but just got a message saying the lines were closed and giving the opening times. All of my calls were within those times.

Replied to the order email, which came from staples-online.co.uk's staplesservice@ address, and got a message saying replies weren't monitored and to email staples-online.co.uk's CSD@ address. Why do that except to be as annoying as possible???

E-mailed the CSD@ address and have had no reply.

Filled out the form on their website and have had no reply.

Edit: I see that staples are spending their time replying to trustpilot reviews rather than people who have contacted them directly. Clearly prioritising giving the impression of good service over actual good service.

Unfortunately, when a lot of orders are placed at the same time it can sometimes result in a product going out of stock. Currently, we are experiencing a higher volume of e-mails than usual. We are working through them as quickly as we can, however, there is a delay in response time. We operate only Monday through Friday and respond to emails in the order they are received, from oldest to newest. Website lied about item being in stock

Ordered an item that was showing as in stock and would be delivered September 26th. It hasn't been dispatched and now shows as expecting stock on October 7th!!

Build crew have been smashing it lately

Always been a great park but the new developments have had a big impact. Boomslang is such a good track now and really unique. The Martian is now super fun without losing its original character. Dragon’s Back is perfect (and especially welcome after the disappointing of Air 470). Topping it all is Hard Shoulder.. next level awesome and an absolute masterpiece!

a complete joke

A mistake they made resulted in me having to re-order and pay a second £6.99 postage charge. I asked them to compensate me for the £6.99 and they wouldn't give me money but did give me a 5% discount code. This seemed reasonably but it's turned out that the code can only be used on full price items, which are all more than 5% more expensive than they are being sold for elsewhere.

Courier companies determine their freight charges based on the weight of the selected product. Bad service costing me money again.

An item was damaged in transit due to the pathetic way they had packaged my order. They don't do replacements and will only provide a refund when I return it. When I order again it's going to cost me an extra £6 in shipping (I had ordered it with several other things to keep shipping costs down) and the item price has increased by £2 since I ordered.

Opening a return request does not always mean that you want to return the product. It also means that you want to claim some issues related to the order you received. (for example, the item is missing from the order, missing customization etc.)

Customer service will surely offer you compensation!

Absolute clowns

Been asking to return a faulty item for a week and they keep offering me partial refunds instead. I declined their first offer of £15 and, without explanation, they offered £30, as if they were pulling numbers out of a hat. I declined the £30 and asked again to return the item and they’ve now offered me £30 again. What a bunch of clowns.

Bought a Troy Lee helmet which was a great price and delivered quickly. Had to return it due to a fault (manufacturing issue which I hadn’t noticed until after I’d removed the tags) and they couldn’t have been more helpful or pleasant to deal with.

Non-stop incompetence

Had to place a second order as they messed up the first. Asked if they could refund me the extra shipping cost since it was their mistake. They said they couldn’t process the refund through their systems for some bizarre reason so gave me a 5% off voucher instead.

Would have been happy with this except that the order I placed a month ago was 3 weeks late, has caused me a huge amount of hassle, and I still haven’t had sensible answers about the faulty items they sent me. Unless they radically improve their response in getting this sorted I won’t be ordering from them again so the voucher is useless.

Finally received my order but two of the four items will have to go back.

One item is missing a part (a hole in it's bag was taped it up which they have obviously done without checking that everything was in it).

The other had come out of it's bag and got damaged in transit. Probably because the packaging inside of the box was so poor even Amazon would have been embarrassed!

The worst service of any company selling on the web

The order I placed on May 19th has finally shipped but they decided to remove an item from the order! I placed another order for that item and it shipped straight away so there doesn’t seem to have been a good reason to send the first order without it, especially without checking with me if I wanted the order without it. I’ve now had to pay an extra postage charge to get what was on my original order :(

Their customer service is consistently awful. Every single reply I’ve had, including to trustpilot reviews, has been at least partially nonsense. It’s like they don’t read anything properly and just respond with a canned reply that seems like it might be appropriate. I’d think it was a low quality bot replying but that wouldn’t be so slow.

bad to worse

Things have gone from bad to worse with my order.

Finally received a reply from customer services but it was nonsense - telling me that the product would arrive on a date that had already passed.

The status of other products in my order have changed. Only 1 of 4 is still showing as in stock, yet the product pages all still say in stock and give clearly unrealistic delivery dates.

We offer a wide variety of products, many of which are in stock at our logistics centre for immediate dispatch and others are listed with a longer delivery date, meaning they come from other warehouses.

When you select one of these products you are given an estimated delivery date based on the transit time of the product to our logistics centre (from where all orders are sent) and the shipping time according to the transport company you have chosen.

We do our best to constantly improve our service, but occasionally, due to stock shortages, duplicate orders and working in real time with stock, some products are shown in stock but may be temporarily out of stock or delivery may be delayed.

In this case and unfortunately, we can only pass on to our customers the delivery times indicated by our suppliers.

Remember that you can modify or add items to your order from your account or cancel the order at any time if you prefer not to wait any longer for a product.

On the contrary, you will receive an email as soon as the order is shipped with the carrier's tracking number and the invoice.
