Remittance to Jamaica 'processing' for 19 days and still no solution

24/04/2019 First remittance to a Jamaican bank account was done 19 days ago and status is still processing. Three emails to resolve the issue only get the following answer: 'We are still awaiting some information from our agent with regard to your concern. We will come back to you as soon as it has been investigated and we can provide you with an update.' No time line, request for more information (I provided that voluntary in my last mail). Transfers to a Jamaican bank account should be at the bank in question in 1 working day according to website World Remit.
Abysmal service!

Update 25/04/2019: I called WR. Did not have to wait long to be put through to a member of staff who was pleasant and competent. Apparently there are about 100 remitances to Jamaican bank accounts in the cue for over two weeks now. It seems that the Jamaican agent JMMB has not reacted to queries from WR. If this is true, I do not understand why WR does not find language to communicate this to clients so that they are aware and can opt to cancel (it was offered to me) and be refunded, depending on the nature and the urgency of the transfer. I also think that a non-responsive agent should not be allowed so much space & time not to comply. I will wait until end of this week to see what happens, and despite the decent treatment I got when I called, it does not make me change the rating I gave to WR.
