replacement seal for external door.
I was looking for a replacement seal for an external (threshold) door.
Identified a replacement part at a fraction of the price of a complete unit. Whilst it wasn't like for like it claimed it would fit my original. Thought I'd give it a go - it works fine.
Delivery via Royal mail was speedy (though postage was almost 2x the cost of the seal itself). Still beat same item from Amazon on price so thumbs up to this company

Fast and efficient
Made an online reservation for installation of smart meters on Sunday. Next available appointment Tuesday in + 2 days time. Installer arrived early (after calling to check this was OK).
I advised that I was considering an electric vehicle charger in the near future - he added an isolator to make this a lot easier.
All done in the planned time and answered any questions I had.
I've been with OVO for < 1 month but so far all contact has been smooth (Telephone and face to face). Much smoother than the previous utility provider and can recommend.

Woeful . . No service for the first week and they want money for the first month
I signed up for Vodaphone broadband via fibre (open reach). On the day it was supposed to go live it didn’t work. I followed up with open reach - the Engineer was really good, I had a human to call and talk to (directly). He initiated an investigation and came back to advise all good on their side. He advised to contact VODAPHONE. Sit tight here goes . . .
Could NOT find a phone number so had to chat with a bot. Managed to beat it and chat with a human. But it was web chat not a call supplemented with video of the set up. It was > 1 hour. My time factored in were looking at 2 months ISD the service is subscribed to. Over the next 3 days I was sent another router - this made NO difference. Really there’s < 5% chance this was the cause. VODAPHONE persistently called me and put me on hold while they ordered the router and confirmed said order had been placed . . Blah blah blah. Absolutely not necessary. Just tell me you’re clutching at straws and gonna send a router to keep me happy. As expected this made ZERO difference 4 days late they call me to give an update - they have escalated the issue and will give an update in another 4 days. This was Thursday and update on Monday. Seems to me they are chillin for the week end. 90 mins later I receive text and email telling me I’m going to have to pay XY.z pounds for zero service. I call that lack of complete co-ordination or simply rubbing salt into wounds. Really if you were customers centric that would be number 1 to address.
So walk away would be my advice . . Don’t sign up for something that cannot be resolved in under 24 hours. It’s NOT complicated - it should be plug and play, not PRAY.
I’m now the fall guy in the household managing expectations of children and defending why we can’t stream movies, play PS5, etc all because I proposed a fast fibre service via VODAPHONE.
It’s time to read the T’s and C,s and see if I can walk away
NOTE 1. I’ve received circa 35 texts, emails and calls related to this service. It is INORDINATE !!! For a replacement router I was asked by the delivery guy to provide a PIN. good luck to find that !!! He threatened to leave but we managed to keep him till we trawled the texts links and emails to find what he needed . . A PIN to drop a replacement item at a defined address . . Absolutely crazy.
And YES if I could rate 0 I really would . . If not minus.
Over to VODAPHONE to share their side of the story.
And PS to Vodaphone direct debit is cancelled because you have NOT provided a service . . . So why would I pay ???? Guys on the phone would you ??? I suspect NOT so get your act in gear, talk to your managers and sort yourselves out. Currently my experience is woefull . . . At best

It's very simple
It's very simple.
However as I didn't have the meter numbers I had to contact the existing supplier to obtain these . . . that's a call and a wait in the queue

Bike shops are in good locations
Bike shops are in good locations - easy to pick-up / collect. And hopefully for subsequent service. They had the right bike for me at the right price so I ordered online. I called into the shop to check on order progress - it arrived later than I was advised, but aside that no complaints. Good handover of the bike upon collection - some features to me were new, so that was useful. Would recommend.

Helpful service
Ordered some LED kit lights for the kitchen. Local store only had 1 in stock so had to go a bit further to collect which was Walton on Thames. Read reviews beforehand for the product - one person mentioned an extension pack in their review. Couldn’t find this on the web page but the team at Walton were great and figured this out for me. So Five stars less one for lack of stock at my local store!

Battery replacement - follow up required
Arrived on the day as planned. Phoned about 20 mins before arrival which is good. Battery replaced in less than 15 mins. However later upon closer inspection found that the plastic cover which was removed was no longer flush with the windscreen. There was a quarter inch gap along most of the length. Followed up with the link in the booking email and waiting for response. It can take up to 12 hours apparently. Will update if possible later as and when resolved
Update: team were back next day 09:00. Problem solved. So top marks for the intervention. Thumbs up for Ryan and Jason.

Booked flight via last minute
Booked flight via last minute. Was cheaper than through airline and exactly same. So saved some cash for little extra effort. What’s not to like ?
