Review of Facebook

I had a Facebook account for about 2 years, and that was 10 years ago. I am 24 years old, and, can I tell you, my life has been SIGNIFICANTLY better without Facebook!

I would NOT recommend Facebook to even my worst enemy. It sucks the life out of people, is a waste of time, promotes unreal expectations, and is a general place for uncivil arguing and hatred.

I am prefacing this review by stating that I am not angry or upset about my experience with Apple. My review is intended to hopefully enlighten others on what I have learned.

I had an iPhone for 3 years, and I am just not impressed like I used to be (before I had one). The main reasons are as follows: i) way over-priced; ii) indirectly promotes/causes ADHD in people; iii) promotes wasting time; iv) they break WAY too easily; and v) customer service is not great at all.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my iPhone while I had it. I dropped it ONE TIME and it broke. I am a dumb phone guy; had one for many years before I relented and followed the mainstream crowd and getting a smartphone.

I've since gone back to my dumb phone and I enjoy i) peace and quiet without notifications; ii) the ability to concentrate on any task without feeling a desperate, addicted tendency to pull out my phone (MOST people are like this with their phones anymore; it's sickening); iii) an increased ability to appreciate face-to-face communication, among other better forms (than texting, social media [it's anti-social media, really], etc.); iv) financial savings; v) better time management (and more time spent actually living); and vi) many more that I will not include, because you should get the point now.

Review of Investopedia

I have been using investopedia for my financial questions for many years now. I love the contributions to the site and the overall presentation. The information on this site is extremely valid and reputable; experts across varying fields (finance, economics, real estate, personal budgeting, etc.) come together and contribute current information, information you can truly trust. They have everything from simple definitions, complex articles, subscriber tutorials, news, and more.

The simulator for investing is also very good; it is a good tool to practice techniques of investing without risking actual money. Although I have not tried their academy, I am sure that is also a very valuable asset to the site. I definitely reccommend.

I enjoy this website and have found it to be a good resource, yet I feel that people are not as friendly or quick to help answer questions as I would like. I also think it would be nice to have a place that has the information about the different species of fish (like Fishlore). I do enjoy the approach, though.

I enjoy the security and the general lack of spam that I receive. I also like Switzerland cause their country seems to be doing very well economically (I studied economics in university).

I would give ProtonMail a 5-star rating, but my only reservation is the fact that no one has heard of it, and when I'm on the phone with customer service or whatever, they ask for my email, and I have to spell it for them every time because they don't know what I'm talking about.

I love Outlook for my email

I love Outlook for my email. I use it personally and at work. It is great to connect everything through OneDrive and I love Microsoft products and services.

I find the outlook calendar to be extremely useful. Although, I wish the calendar would allow 15-minute intervals for scheduling.

I have a 2016 Honda Fit and it literally can FIT a bunch of stuff in it! It is great on gas mileage and sustainability (well, as sustainable/non-polluting as you can be with gas). It is very reliable, very comfortable, and spiffy. We love our car and it is the only one we own! We don't really want another car for a long time (if ever); it is great for singles and families.

My wife and I have been getting Little Caesar's pizza for a LONG time, and, before we married, for even longer. I think it's the best fast pizza out there; great taste, makes great food for a party, and is all around just fun.

My wife and I have fond memories of eating here numerous times in college! We love the food, and we enjoy the fact that it is a Christian-based business (although we are a different denomination than the owners). The food is good, the fries are wonderful, and we've always had friendly customer service.

I'm a healthy guy (healthy diet, enough sleep, medication where necessary, some exercise, have a fulfilling career, etc.), but if I want to binge on a hamburger and fries, McDonald's is probably my top choice for that quick, addicting hamburger and fries.

I eat here very rarely, but I can get behind their food.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even if I wasn't, I would still be interested in using FamilySearch. It truly is the best (I mainly use FamilySearch and supplement with other services such as Ancestry, etc.).

The layout is quite simple, the graphics are nice, there is a lot to do to further the work of the Lord in connecting families, among other religious practices within the Church.

Review of LinkedIn

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I like LinkedIn for what it is

I like LinkedIn for what it is: it allows people to showcase their professional experience, knowledge, skills, and ideas. However, I wish it would be more oriented toward professional work rather than becoming a news site. I think it should reign in its focus and scope, and that would make it more effective.

I used to use them as a news source, but then I just got tired of it. I wish people were more focused on professional mentoring of others. It should be a minimal requirement or suggestion or something. I would like it to be more of a discussion forum for differing fields and professional interests, a place where people with similar backgrounds can truly come to discuss what they know, interesting trends in their fields, etc. That would help me give LinkedIn a full 5-star review.
