Disappointed: first and last time using VRBO
We had our first time trip to Colorado (winter park) destination all scheduled for a group of 3 couples+kids+friend. My husband was flying from Brazil to meet us in Denver and we were going to drive from Omaha/ NE and all of us got stucked because of the storm that affects Denver since yesterday. My husband’s flight was cancelled and he is still trying to come back home. Also all the roads that would take us to our destination are blocked for safety reasons. Then we try to cancel our reservation ( for all of this problems we already explained them) or even reschedule the dates but from VRBO- TurnKey all we heard was a categorical NO!! There’s nothing we can do, only loose all the money of the reservation...their excuse is that we didn’t pay for the insurance and we really thought we wouldn’t need it. We even asked if we could pay for the insurance after all that happened and the answer was NO again. Guess that we have other people in the same situation. This was an extreme weather condition that was against our will. For safety reasons, cancellation of flights to most of Colorado airports, blocked roads in a 10 hour drive to our destination... guess that’s enough reasons to make us try to reschedule or cancel the reservation, that’s all! So, our first time experience booking and using VRBO so far is being very disappointing and we still look forward to hear from them if we have any solution as we paid for something that they are not allowing us to use!! Let’s be reasonable friends!!
