Barnstaple Manager

I purchased two base layers from the Barnstaple store, one of which is faulty so took it back with the unworn item for a refund. The manager 'Nick' was rude dismissive and arrogant. He accused me of rolling up the sleeves which caused the sleeves to become baggy and said it was not something he would normally do, giving a refund. When I challenged this that the goods are faulty he laughed and scoffed at me. I took the goods and left the store. I have been in contact with the Head Office but as yet no response. MW are not above the Sale of Goods Act and I will pursue this.
Poor amatuerish manager with no customer skill set.

First Class Experience

Ordered a pair of AltBerg boots at lunchtime on Friday to be dispatched the following Wednesday with free p&p. They arrived less than 24 hours later so a big shout out for a great service. Brilliant, excellent price and very pleased. I have had similar experience before with Taunton Leisure, what a first class Company.

Not Recommended

Ordered a new bike and was kept informed along the way however on a few occasions when I called you could never speak to anyone and I should of listened to those alarm bells. The bike has an issue on the first very short ride so I called Tredz and the attitude is poor, disinterested and generally felt we have your money so go away. There is an issue which I have to arrange to get repaired/replaced and I can assure Tredz they will pay whatever the cost is.
I could not recommend buying from this Company

Not unbiased

Interesting that Trustpilot have asked for a review. What I want to know is when you give an honest genuine review that you can verify when the company you are reviewing don't like a bad review why they can get it removed. I put a review on about a camera seller there was nothing rude or offensive but they managed to get it removed. In fact they only have great reviews on here yet on Google and other sites they have lots of bad reviews. Also when you put a low review on why do you let some companies post hundreds of good reviews in an instant which are obviously fake. Is it because they are the ones that support Trustpilot financially !!
Trustpilot should be about reviews good or bad and unbiased and if they can be verified and are not offensive they should be left on. Also what about being allowed to upload images.

Poor Grading

Always had a great service in general from WEX however their grading policy has gone astray. I ordered two 9+ lenses from them (9+ means as new) and the lenses whilst fine are in torn, damaged ripped packaging. One of the manuals is bent to hell and damaged. They look like someone has got the boxes out of a skip. That's not (9+ as new). Response was terrible (well send them back if your not happy)

No Refund

Having had previous good experience ordered a pair of binoculars (Hawke Frontier ED X) which arrived promptly however I considered these had a fault so requested a faulty return. First issue was they expected me to send them back at my own expense. I challenged this as there are quite clear rules in place regarding faulty products and whom the responsibility lies with. They agreed to collect the binoculars and emailed myself to say they could not find a fault and would return them. Again I challenged this so responded with the fact that as they had not been used and in their own opinion where not faulty exercised my rights to a refund in relation to online sales. However some 10 days after requesting a refund there is still no sign of it. It seems Clifton Cameras are great on their initial service but if there is a faulty item or you wish to cancel an order they are reluctant. I was not happy at the time with their response so ordered from another seller and the binoculars are perfect so I stand by my opinion that there was a fault albeit slight but still a fault so I had the right to reject but also have a right to a full refund.

Upon reviewing your case, I can see that we initially mishandled your return request by incorrectly advising you to cover the cost of returning a suspected faulty product. This was an error on our part, and I apologise for the inconvenience caused. I’m glad we rectified this by arranging a free-of-charge collection, but it should not have required your challenge to resolve.

After inspecting the returned binoculars, we were unable to replicate the fault you described and believed them to be good working order. After further discussion, we understand that you lost confidence in the product and offered to exchange them for a new pair.

Our intention was to ensure a refund was issued, especially if we did not receive a response to our offer of an exchange. Unfortunately, due to the Christmas rush, your refund was not processed as promptly as it should have been. This was unacceptable, and I sincerely apologise for the frustration caused. I can confirm that your refund has now been issued, and the funds should reach your account shortly.

Reported a major leak in the road to SW Water, the girl on the phone was completely disinterested and actually quite rude. Following day the leak is still running down the road like a torrent and it is not even on their map of reported leaks. We have to pay for this as their customers. An absolutely useless Company and the Government are letting them get away with it.

Won't give Refunds and Terrible Customer Service

Purchased a hob that overheated and refused to turn off which became dangerous after only three days use so attempted a return to Amazon. After two attempts failed on the due collection days I contacted Amazon Customer Service again who told me in a chat that it could not be collected because no-one worked as it was All Saints Day. I actually have that as a saved transcript. Once again Amazon are happy to take your money but won't give refunds easily. This has now been raised as a dispute with our Card Provider.
I attempted several call backs but again all you get is an automated service, Amazon don't want to talk to their customers either.

No customer care or satisfaction anymore

I have been with DL for years and recently someone hit my car, The claim was mishandled and the car has not been repaired to a satisfactory standard at the same time my renewal has arrived which even though I have Protected No Claims went up by a staggering £200 so I phoned to refuse the renewel. I was asked why I wanted to leave and said about the mishandled claim to which I was expecting a response maybe like sorry or we need to look at it to get it sorted however the response was " okay I have cancelled your renewal thank you" and that was the end of the call. Direct Line have gone down the pan like others. Happy to take your money but thats all. No customer care or satisfaction anymore.

Update: I have raised this has a complaint twice and still no response. The car has been into my garage twice now to have repairs sorted that were not carried out to a satisfactory manner by Direct Line repairers.

Terrible Attitude Barnstaple Store

Purchased two pairs of vari-focal glasses from the Barnstaple store four weeks ago at the cost of £734.40 and one pair came apart yesterday. My partner took them in for a repair today and was met with a bad attitude by whom I believe was the Manager. The black screw has been replaced with a silver screw which stands out. This is an unacceptable level of service. She was given the option silver, brass or nothing. Terrible Attitude and poor service so I will exercise my right under the 100 day money back guarantee. This should have been dealt with in a professional manner which it was not. No better than the others, happy to take the money but won't back up with the promises.

Follow on from Vision Express reply: You have been contacted several times, I have been promised call backs and you have not responded to two Notice Before Action Letters. Your verbal response when I actually spoke to someone was : "I can pay for new glasses at another store" TERRIBLE USELESS SERVICE
