Travel money card

I set up a account after asking a friend who travels alot what card he uses, he told me he used monzo and its been so good he is now using it as his main current account. I won't be switching mu main account but as a travel money card I have to say its awesome its easy to top up online the exchange rate I'm getting is better then ANY ive seen elsewhere. Being Mastercard its accepted almost every place I've been. As your money stays in £s if you don't spend anything its easy to transfer back or spend at home if you have money left you even get free atm withdrawal upto a certain amount depending on the type of account I went for free account and am very happy there is different premium accounts with extras which of course early on they try to push but if its not for you it's easy to ignore.

Promotion cheats

Live updates upto 14/1/2023
Was drawn to thr product due to a cash back promo which made it very competitive. You had to wait a month to submit a claim then which I did then asked for war and peace info for the claim which I gave. Then you have to wait for them to review your claim and respond ..... they never responded. Without the cash back I never would of brought it so very unhappy

I emailed there promo team with no reply after the auto reply, as they have responded here I have emailed where they have said. I will update this review ongoing.

After reply on here support asked for my proof of purchase I was hopeful, I sent this and then was told they had no record of my registration for the promo the form I filled out was no small and went on to say would I but further products if so which I even had to unplug and pull out the fridge to get a serial number so not something I easily forgot doing! They ask for confirmation which I already started this saying I received nothing.

4 days ago they emailed saying it woukd be passed to promotion team the same team that haven't responded when I emailed 8 days ago, so no surprise I've had no responce.

7 days on from them saying we will be in contact shortly I still have received no contact and I have now chased them.

After chasing they have responded they have found ny claim its under a different email so they couldn't find it before yet they never responded on that email. Please can I log on to the system and enter details for my cash back. The details for the log on are on the email they never sent me (I dispare)

They sent me a log on ! But it dosent work! I emailed them back they take days to respond. They said on my comment here they want to help and do believe that some people that work there do but my overall respond isn't great this has now been going on for 2 ish weeks. Meanwhile they set a deadline for me to give my details that I will miss because they won't respond ive asked for a call so I can sort this out awaiting responce.

Price match

Price match - "here at currys if you find the same product cheaper elsewhere we will price match it" what lies. Today I've walked into currys to spend 1000s fitting out a new kitchen and here I am walking back out after being told no to price matching 1 product after some lame excuses. It seems any time that the words "price match is mentioned" they drill down to the most fine detail in there terms and conditions to find any difference so they don't have to honor it. Advertising a price match to make you think they are the cheapest when they are not dont be fooled and shop around. Further to this while in store I over heard more bad customer service. They maybe the biggest player in the game of white goods but they are not the only ones if they don't fix up they way the trest potential customers they will be another empty shop soon.

When it works its great!

When it works its great!

Sadly took them almost a month to do the install correctly then after that I keep getting my data speed drop from 600 to 50. This is on WiFi they guarantee 900 on a wired connection and I expect some drop on WiFi but not down to 50. It appears weather has a effect as well with my service. As I said at the start when it works it great but it dosent always work for me and they are not great or fast at fixing issues .

The renowned reliability of our 900 Mbps full-fibre service is one of our customer's biggest reasons for joining us. While our connection is best enjoyed via a cable (for a continuation of these these speeds), we wouldn't expect such dramatic and regular drops in speed while using Wi-Fi alone.

This maybe points towards other variables within the home causing periods of interference or clogging up channels, allowing usable speed to fluctuate. This could also include any changes (in the background) on any devices you're using, amongst other things.

We're not aware of such a query from anyone of this name, so we please do give us a quick call on 023 9300 9300 (whilst with your devices at home) so we can rule out any issue - and provide the best advice for minimising any impact from environmental factors within the home.

Slow delivery

Product was fine when it arrived but delivery was very slow. From memory delivery was 5 to 7 working days which by today's standard isnt particularly fast but its what I expected at least. Delivery came after 10 working days when I contacted them I barely got a apology. Was the first order I done with them in future I may order again buy onky if im in no rush.

Shop around first

Went in today and left empty handed . For a company that buys and sells you would think they would keep track of the market but obviously not I looked up a game just before I went to buy it and lucky I did a second hand game in-store was 25% cheaper brand new on Amazon

Go there if you don't care about price

I'm lucky that there is another type place nearby as I dropped in to check price today and was shocked i was quoted a price for a mid range tyre and when I checked else where I could get top range tyres for cheaper and that was with there types being on "offer" . It was really quiet when I went in today and I'm not surprised when they are over charging people in future i won't even bother to check . They clearly riding a old reputation of when they use to be competitive running your prices so high you have to put offers on and still get beaten on price by a large amount

Havant branch

My local branch is Havant , the guys in there are great really helpful I've been in for budget tyres and also for top end tyres before they have always helped . They have always helpede pick the best tyres for my needs at the time and the ranking on tyres really help to compare . When I was in there today the guys seemed to really care about giving great service and it helps they are cheaper then kwick fit which is only a 1 min down the road . Thanks guys
