Guy was the utmost professional

Guy, the engineer turned up at 0820hrs, was very polite and professional. Explained fully and clearly what was going to happen and offered advice on where and how to site the new box. Minimal disruption to our day. Got on with the job. Left us having fully tested the installation. No mess. No fuss. No problems. Top man.

Problem solved... Thanks Debbie in customer services for taking control of a problem, owning it and solving it incredibly quickly. Problem was mainly down to a glitch with DPD but Debbie got it sorted PRONTO. Cheers Solopress. It's this side of the service that ensures I'll be back.

Smart? No, just time wasting morons

Another day, another re-arranged smart meter appointment except this one was confirmed yesterday to be going ahead today. The 5 previous (might be 4 might be 6 - I've lost count in all honesty) appointments had all been cancelled at short notice. So, here I am am sat at the address since 0950hrs for a 10am-2pm slot. 1309hrs - message to inform me they're not coming. YOU TIME WASTING MORONS. Half a day off work and what for? FOR NOTHING... You are an utter disgrace. I'll be invoicing you for my time that you have wasted. Next will be Trading Standards and OffGem if relevant. Why don't you get out of this business now and let some competent traders do the work you are too inept to carry out.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T BOTHER WITH THESE TIME WASTERS

So I posted negative feedback yesterday about this awful company. I had a 'response' today.

If you go and check the negative reviews you'll see the response I got was the same as everyone elses.

Not personalised, not addressing the problem, just a copy and paste so it looks like they give a care and also so they get a good rating for responding to negative feedback. It's complete and utter BS. And they want me to call on the number designated. Which 'number designated'..?

What a bunch of shysters.

I'll let you all of you Trustpiloteers know how I get on with Trading Standards once they respond. And also if I get the same autoresponder trash as before.

DO NOT WATSE YOUR TIME UNLESS, OF COURSE, YOU WANT TO BE DEFRAUDED

I'm writing this before contacting Trading Standards.
AVOID THIS 'COMPANY' This company is a bare-faced SCAM. Their valuations are worthless. Their valuations are false. Their valuation emails are a mis-statement of fact. Their valuation emails are true mis-selling. Having been given a valuation in the range of £709 to £1,717 plus and extra £100 if I agreed to an appointment within 48hrs, I drove for over 90 minutes through Storm Franklin, for an 'appraisal' and told that they could give me a £100 as I wasn't trading my car in as PX on one of theirs. This is where the fraudulent behaviour sets in. They allege that in their initial offer it is clearly stated that a valuation is only valid if you trade your car in. They cleverly word their 'offer' as the following...

"No nasty surprises, we value cars within a range. If your car is in good condition and has service history then we’d be happy to pay the price in the green of the range.

If you are in the market for a replacement car, let us offer you our highest part-exchange super valuation at the very top of the spectrum against any of over 1,000 cars we have for sale at the drop-off location.

If your car has seen better days and is in need of a bit of TLC then expect a valuation in the red of the range.

A full appraisal of your car will be made on the day. We love paying green prices for nice cars and remember to book your appointment within 48 hours for an extra £100 – we pay more guaranteed!"

NOWHERE, NOWHERE does it state that you must PX your car to get any value within their stated range.

Timewasters, scammers, fraudsters and liars who are obviously preying on the financial problems of others who really are in need of their paltry offers.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OTHERWISE THEY WILL WASTE YOURS - GUARANTEED

DO NOT USE FOAM4U or THE FOAM SHOP

DO NOT USE FOAM4U or the FOAM SHOP - Please read to the end it's a cracker!!!
Utterly disgusted by the lack of service, lack of communication and total lack of care shown by Mark Harris and the companies he trades under.
1. 24/4/20 - 180 x 200 x 7.5cm mattress topper ordered
2. 12/5/20 - nothing heard so emailed for an update
3. 12/5/20 - email received back simply stating 'Please find you (sic) tracking information below'
4. 12/5/20 - tried tracking but no luck so emailed supplier who simply sent a screenshot back of a courier's page which I had already checked using the tracking code supplied. Told supplier that I had seen this when I checked and had to then asked when it had been desptached. Supplier then replied with a single line email saying 'It was despatched on the 7th However they may not have collected it that day'
5. 14/5/20 Mattress topper arrives and it is laid out flat to 'relax' and expand. Immediately notice that topper is made of 2 separate bits of discoloured foam.
6. 15/5/20 Email supplier to say that topper is unsatisfactory, not only because it is mad of 2 pieces but also because it is poorly cut, the wrong size, scored and marked and not fit for purpose.
6. 15/5/20 Supplier emails back with this... 'Hi, This is not your order Please wrap it back up send a photo of it wrapped up I will collect it from you once received I do apologies (sic)..'
7. 15/5/20 Emailed back asking when I would receive my foam. Question avoided by supplier
8. 15/5/20 I request a full refund which the supplier says will be issued 'As soon as the carrier collects the goods we will issue full refund with our apologies..'
9. 20/5/20 Courrier collects foam.
10. 27/5/20 Email supplier asking where my refund is... NO RESPONSE
11. 28/5/20 Have had to email saying that unless refund is made within 24 hours I will have to seek a legal route for refund.
THIS COMPANY/COMPANIES ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED
Blamed Covid-19 and having to use inexperience staff for all the problems. Tried the pity route saying that the 'proper' order had been sent in error to a homeless shelter. A shelter that upon closer inspection needs a superking mattress topper for one of its 45 single occupancy rooms..???
All emails have been lacking in any kind of common decency and the ones that did attempt any kind of discourse were just packed with pathetic excuses. Covid-19 has hit everyone and Mr Harris has no clue as to why I needed this topper or for who it was needed but his total lack of care and courtesy should be taken into consideration if you are thinking or ordering from this company or any of his other companies.
UPDATE...
Just received 28/5/20 at 11.38am
'I understand your frustration however we are very short staffed I am not sure if the goods are back here and even if they are they will undergo a period of quarantine prior to us processing them. It is unlikely that we will be able to exheed to your request. If you wish to proceed to the small claims procedure after this explanation be do so..'
There you go people - this is what you are dealing with

DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH STL

DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH STL... Appointment booked, and paid for in advance, for annual boiler service on January 4th for engineer arrival time between 1300-1500hrs. Time booked off work. 1500hrs comes and goes. No engineer. Call STL at 1520hrs and put on hold for 15 minutes. I was told engineer had a problem at previous appointment. I asked why I had not been called. No answer given. 'Would I like to wait until 1630hrs..?' I answered NO as I have work to get back to. Would I like to re-arrange a booking? NO - I want to speak to a manager as I want my money back or a discounted service for having wasted the best part of 1/2 a days holiday. 'Sorry, no managers available. Will email one for you and call straight back...' At 1640hrs - from my car, I have to ring STL and ask why no-one has rung. 'Oh sorry, we've been busy... Can't give you any discount either'. I asked whether that was fair considering wasting nigh on 4 hours waiting for an engineer who was never going to turn up. NO answer. Requested a manager call me and explain why they missed my appointment without letting me know, wasting my time and what they intend to do about it... STILL WAITING FOR THAT CALL.
